This was our first visit to D & D's. We went at lunchtime, and the dining area was not busy, but the overall "traffic" was steady. I ordered a hamburger and fries, and my wife ordered a chicken sandwich. The food was very tasty, and came at a fair price. When we arrived, there was only one person at the counter who was taking care of both the cooking and cashier duties, etc. I believe there was another employee in the "back". Because of only one person being up front, he handled the food, the money, and the supplies. I never saw him clean his hands between any of these (which included raw hamburger). I'm not saying he didn't, I just didn't see it, and the food prep. area is right in plain sight. I would have given them a higher rating, as the food and service were very good, but I think they need to be more aware of their sanitation practices.

First stop after getting off the El before visiting my Northwestern alma mater in May 2022.
They have an excellent Italian beef sandwich with very spicy giardiniera.
They also have the "combo", Polish, hot dogs.
My only negative comment is they won't give you a glass of tap water. They will only sell you bottled water.

Very reasonable price for the quality of food that I got. Would love to try dining outdoor in summer when the area is open again.

Ate here while in Evanston for the Penn State basketball game. I had the chili dog with mustard and onions. Extremely delicious. It's a small place and very busy, but they got the food out quickly.

Great, I just had the Goliath with 2 eggs, bacon Peppers, onions with a tasty sauce.

We stopped in to get a quick bite to eat. Ordered up some dogs and they were good. Enjoyed the fries also. Quick friendly service.

I love supporting this small business. They have been in business forever. It is a Greek owned hotdog shop; however, they have so much more than dogs. They have falafel, veggie burgers, salads, gyros, shakes, etc. The guys who work here are super friendly. They make every one feel like family.

Stopped here for a bite doing laundry. Not bad: good polish, can get a canned beer with it. Wish they had sauerkraut.
