The food here always blows my mind. The salmon chowder was out of this world. My husband really liked his pork tacos; my chicken tacos were amazing as well.

Service and food is always good. Something for everyone, but you can't go wrong with the cedar-planked salmon, spinach, and horseradish mashed potatoes.
We were looking for a place in Evanston to meet up with a close cousin who lives there and she suggested Prairie Moon as she knew we were beer snobs (only sort of)...I'd seen the place a number of times as it is down the street from our favorite crepe place, but we never found ourselves with the time to... We booked the back room a few weeks ago for a dinner for about 40 people in for a wedding. We met with them a few times to make arrangements, and they couldn't have been more helpful. Their advice of 'don't worry' should be heeded. The evening of the event they had beer and wine ready when we arrived and... More
We love that Prairie Moon is our go to place for lunch or dinner or just drinks. Their Amal plates are a great option like salmon with mashed potato, beef dip sandwiches or sliders. All delicious. Salads are always fresh! Love that I can get fish chowder... creamy and warm. The desserts are made in house. Our fave is the... More
Great music and beers! Had a group of 12 people, started off with a great sourdough bread and butter and a had a menu where I had a hard time just narrowing down to 5 items I wanted! Staff were nice and attentive, would highly recommend and a place I will definitely go back to eat, drink at bar or... More
Love the mussels; get them with garlic fries! (The regular fries are good and traditional, but garlic fries are the best.) As always, a great beer selection. The only place on the planet where I've ever found Dogfish Head 120 on tap...if you find that in a liquor store, you'll be luck if they sell you more than one bottle... More
My friend and I ended out here for lunch because so many other restaurants were closed on Mondays. We both ate from the Mardi Gras menu and our food was fantastic! I had the jambalaya - wow. For dessert we split the warm chocolate bread pudding with maple bourbon sauce, I believe it was, which is not to be missed.... More
We met some friends in Evanston and chose Prairie Moon based upon its reviews. We were not disappointed. The service was outstanding, the food was great, and the price was right. Very pleased.
Oh my gosh, what a great place for a burger and seafood. Masquerading as a bar, the food here is fabulous. My wife had the most amazing burger of a long time. Especially loved the natural French fries. I had the fish tacos, I went for the blackened tilapia, Large fish portion with lots of Spanish rice and pico de... More
