The tomahawk steak was fabulous, and the Woodforde's Norada went down a treat! Make sure you book a table as it's very busy. There is also a very good B&B with the pub as well.

Brilliant pub. Nice selections or real ale, really nice food servers in large portions. The gluten free availability is awesome. Most things are made fresh and can be altered to gluten free and they do a nice gluten free batter for the fish, chips are also gf 😉
I can sometimes be tricky dining for me (meat eater) and her (veggie or fish). She will often end up with only one fish dish or a hardly worth it veggie option. Not the case here. A full array of seafood dishes and all sorts of meat options and a couple of decent vegetarian dishes. On top of that, we... More
Everything about this family run venue is excellent. The freshly prepared menu is varied and delicious. The professional staff are available and eager to please while the welcome is warm and friendly. A favoured Gem of Norfolk and easy on your pocket. Highly recommended.
Having heard so many good things from so many people, we finally found the time to try. Visited on a Thursday lunchtime, quite busy on arrival but a table was found for us immediately even though we had not booked. There was the choice of a bar or lunch menu. We both chose from the very extensive lunch menu. After... More
Food on form this evening. Massive menu but the quality is still very high. Mains tonight lamb shank, sea bass, baked hake with smoked fish scotch egg, crab thermidore all top form. With 4 drinks and deserts £95-95. Great service top lady owner! Thanks Mach.
Stopped on the way back from the coast and was lucky to get a table, always busy, so normally I would book. Food was great. lovely venison bourguignon, rich and morish, as always good service.
A recommendation from friends lead to booking an overnight stay and we included a dinner booking to round off the experience.. The warm welcome that met us was matched by the quality of food experienced that evening. This quality spilled over to breakfast where the choice was impressive. The accommodation was clean and comfortable albeit a couple of bathroom accessories,... More
Went here for a celebratory birthday lunch with my family. There is an extensive menu and when you are as indecisive as me can make it difficult :) I ordered the Torbay sole which I found very dry and tasteless it came with an enormous amount of new potatoes and green beans . My fellow diners also had enormous plates... More
Had our first visit to this lovely, friendly and welcoming establishment last weekend. Stayed for the night in an excellent room with large bathroom. From the moment we arrived the customer service was fantastic. The staff were very helpful and cheerful and the food amazing. We all had different main courses in our party of four, all of which were... More

Why is this place so inconsistent. The bar staff asked me what I wanted to drink and I said San Miguel please a pint of. Then she went on about the chef hadn't proclaimed which meals were on the specials. Then she said you can only sit at the tables without a white ticket. 1 minute later she said what was it you wanted to drink. Then she said which table do you want. We chose one. 4 minutes later someone dropped off the grabbiest food covered menu u have ever seen and when I told her five minutes later I didn't want food based on how offended I was she said sorry disappeared and there was no effort to try and keep us interested in coming back. Sorry but utter S###e
