If you're looking for good food at reasonable prices in Bermuda, this is the place to go. It's in a very busy main thoroughfare through the Flatts on the way to Hamilton, so a convenient location if not picturesque. BUT, the food and service are worth the stop.
The menu was pretty extensive and the cocktail offerings were especially vast and creative. There are three main seating areas - front covered patio next to the street, inside with AC, and back covered patio. Our cab driver suggested we sit inside, and we liked the recommendation.
I had pure comfort food - fried chicken, mac and cheese, and cole slaw. My hubby had the pulled pork and pineapple BBQ pizza. Both were excellent and huge portions. I was truly tired of seafood at that point, so it was a nice alternative (although they had seafood on their menu).
It's not fancy, but looked like a great, comfortable place for friends and locals. They were doing a massive amount of to-go orders, so you know it's good if local folks were stopping by after work to pick up dinner. The staff was very accommodating and helped us call a cab after the meal. We'd definitely go back

I would like to start with how impressed we were by the staff that work for this restaurant, in particular, the captain Richard.
Richard made our dining experience extremely memorable, even much so that we went to the restaurant again the next day for lunch. The food was absolutely delicious, especially the locally grown vegetables and the fried chicken entree. We are very big foodies and have ate at some of the most exquisite and well known restaurants and have to say that we were so impressed at the flavors and the presentation of each meal and side dish that we ordered. Richard was even so kind to make me a small pan fried rock fish complimentary to try on the side because I am not a fish lover and was a little hesitant to try the fish. The fish was so good and I was very impressed at how fresh it tasted.
The second day that we went we ordered our exact same meals along with an additional order of the bowl of the greens. My husband suddenly started to choke on the kale and Richard was immediately there by his side to perform the heimlich maneuver and saved his life! We are so greatful for him and his warm and friendly hospitality that we had to write this review and make sure his service did not go unnoticed.
We cannot wait to return to Bermuda and visit the Village Pantry to eat the delicious food and bask in the beautiful ambiance and enjoy the outstanding service and food.

Fantastic dinner with a wonderful selection for dinner and desserts. Family of 4 out for a birthday dinner on yes 12/31 for our oldest daughter. Rock fish, cheese pizza and vegetarian dinners with Calamari appetizer and specialty drinks. Calamari was so good our normally uber picky youngest could not resist trying and she loved them. For dessert the staff brought out a wonder slice of cake and sang happy birthday. Very much appreciated by us all. When we return we will visit again for dinner. Comfortable and inviting and close to St George and airport. Drinks were expertly prepared and enjoyed by all.

Had dinner there the day after Cupmatch and it was mind boggling the lengths the staff went through to basically lie to our faces. My friend's wife had the tuna sashimi pizza and she specifically asked whether the fish was fresh, The waiter said "yes", both the rockfish and tuna were local and fresh that day. Pizza arrived and the sashimi tuna was a grey/beigy color, very unlike the picture on the main page of their website. Any raw seafood foodie knows that raw tuna is supposed to be either pink or red. It was clearly evident that the fish was either frozen and defrosted or fresh but heavily oxidized and old (it also had a fishy smell). We politely sent it back and the waiter said he would speak to the chef. Moments later a different waiter returns with the same pizza in hand. He explained that the tuna was not yellowfin tuna but blackfin tuna and that was why the color was different. What he did not realize is that he was explaining this to a fishermen and a chef of large eating establishment in Bermuda, So instead of the customer being right, the waiter tried to double down on their misinformation. I asked him to please not insult our intelligence and we asked to order something else. Sure enough 20 minutes later another member of the establishment (perhaps the manger) delivered the replacement dish and wanted to know more about our issue. We explained to him that the sashimi was beigy/grey in color and that there was no way on gods green earth that this was fresh Bermuda tuna. He tripled down on the lie and we were flabbergasted, It was an eye opening experience to say the least. I am all for supporting local food businesses, especially during these difficult times, but I will not tolerate restaurants trying to pass off old stock for fresh. My friend (the chef) got very irate and simply told him not to dig the hole any deeper.
We paid our bill and mindfully added this place to the short list of places not to go to in Bermuda,
The only thing I regret is not taking a picture of this disaster of a dish.

When dining at this restaurant it's best to make a reservation, you get better service when you do anywhere actually, but basically you can choose where you want to sit with a reservation, inside , outside, you pick the spot. Had a choice of breakfast fare or lunch so picked guacamole and warm chips as an appetizer and shared a very thin crust pizza., topped with carmelized onions, spinach and feta cheese. It was delicious. For drinks we both had a peach bellini. The service and food was great.

Don't get me wrong, the food was decent. We got fish tacos, a fish sandwich, and mussels for lunch. The prices were extremely high for only 3 fish tacos... $38 dollars for half the plate being salad? They also ask you for still/sparkling water when you sit down, which costs $8 as well... Tap water wasn't a clear option. The service was mediocre, our server gave us water, asked us how the food was, and left. No water refills or anything. For a pretty expensive restaurant, you'd expect more. The view from online photos looked promising, but the restaurant is really on the far side of the street, so you'd only see the building across the street. Overall, these 2 main courses and 1 appetizer cost us $121 dollars... for lunch. Overall, pretty unexpected in the wrong way, and if you want a good lunch, there are many other cheaper options around.

We went out of our way to take an expensive cab ride from our resort to try something more "local." Given the great reviews, expectations were high. It's Covid, so you have to take all of this with a grain of salt, but we were almost the only ones there under a tent across from a gas station, eating disappointing food. My wife had salmon and it tasted fishy, and I had Spaghetti Bolognese and it had a strong taste of....sage?......very unusual and not in a good way. Everyone there was very nice and I feel bad saying this because maybe Covid is to blame, but neither the food nor the ambience was worth the many many dollars. I hope it gets better.

We happened on this great restaurant because it had electrical charging stations for our electric car. My husband and I ate lunch here. It’s a great spot for any time dining because it doesn’t close down during the afternoon. I had the duck and spaetzle and it was fabulous. My less adventurous husband had a hamburger and salad, also very good. This area on the west side of Bermuda is between Hamilton and the airport, in Flatts Village near the Bermuda aquarium.

This is not a review of the food but of a misunderstanding that needs to be very much cleared up ,the food I had was perfect but my husband had asked the waitress what he could eat as he has 3 allergies one is wheat (not to be confused with celiac which is autoimmune )
He’d asked and she came back with the kitchen had said he could have semolina !
Which is wheat ,so just for the safety of those that are at risk I’d say double check when asking as we had gone because it’s sister Resturant has always been good with paleo choices but this place had none on the menu my husband was hoping for a paleo dish as that’s safe from all his allergies .
I had to explain to other staff why we were not ordering and husband not happy they listened and made suggestions and were very nice .
The food I had was delicious but for a place that has a good wrap for allergies we were very surprised about this mistake .

Never in my life have I had a better eggs benedict and every bite got better. It's layered with crispy shredded hash browns, arugula, prosciutto and eggs the consistency of mozzarella balls with a dreamy sauce. Out of this world on your pallet and the 3-4 heaps were very filling.
Service was wonderful and I felt like I had known her forever or that she would be a good friend if I lived there.
The ambiance is also really nice as we sat outside in their courtyard with stunning lighting and a Santa Barbara feel. I wanted to go back the minute I left.

Barely friendly service. Espresso had almost no crema, so effectively badly made filter coffee. Also wrong dose - ordered single, got something close to double.
Cappuccino cup was served skewed on the plate at risk of tipping over.
Not that latte art is necessary but just pouring in milk in also ain’t right.
Croissant order was forgotten, second waiter came to take order after first one had already taken order. Asked for two glasses of water, which were also forgotten.
Small things matter, people evidently not trained or don’t care. Devil’s Isle much better (albeit music there always beyond conversation level loud). Strange given same ownership.

On the weekend, breakfast is available with luncheon items.
My wife’s Burrito and my Garden Linguini Pasta with mushrooms and veggies are among our favorites.
Their espresso is wonderful and comes out hot.
The Apple Crumble Tart com
Is absolutely outrageous.
Our server was quite attentive.
Only negative, at busy times parking can be difficult.

Four of us had multiple meals here over a 10 day trip to Bermuda. Food was consistently good to excellent. Some of us had some dietary restrictions, so we appreciated the healthy options on the menu, and the service was kind and patient. We especially enjoyed Nonny and Joshua. Well recommended!

Maybe I just ordered wrong but this place was very expensive mediocre food. The fish chowder is great, but the grain bowl I had was terribly soggy. Swimming in dressing. The menu also is ambiguous about whether some proteins are included in the bowl (they’re not) or if you’ll be charged extra at the end for any protein at all. I really wanted to love this place because of the hype, but I essentially paid $80 for soup and salad and a mocktail (one person). The servers are very nice. Just be strategic about what you order I guess.

The environment was beautiful and cozy. Very intimate place for a date night. The food was made quickly and was so well seasoned. The drinks were prepared to perfection and the Bar Manager was so friendly and knowledgeable! I will be back very soon.
