Flynnies is a favorite of everyone in my family, from my 97 yr old mother and her friends to my children and grandchildren. In a world of processed food and unnatural ingredients, you'll find NONE of that at Flynnies. Everything is fresh and hand made. Prices are great! You'd expect to pay more for the quality you're getting. (I'm not... More

We were traveling from Milwaukee and were approaching Dixon at lunch time. We found Flynnie's on Trip Advisor, and since we prefer to eat at mom and pop diners, we decided to give it a try. We're so glad we did! Debbie had a very generous omelette with some kind of (mashed) potato cakes, and both were excellent. I had... More

We stopped here purely on Trip Advisor reviews when we were in town to shop at Books on First. So glad we did! Nice family restaurant with upscale diner furnishings (old church pews, for example, form the booths). Homespun sayings on the wall. Restaurant is still new and building being remodeled, but you can see how great it is going... More

As of six weeks ago they've moved next door...they are now @ 607 Depot Street (609 is now another diner). Our waiter Derek was super friendly. We just came in for pie, and he said we had another "treat" for us as well. Was he ever right!! The cinnamon roll he brought out was outstanding...soft, sweet & cinnamonny with a... More

Visited on a Saturday around 9 am. We were seated promptly at a booth & quickly asked if we'd like coffee & water. The restaurant looks newly decorated with warm colors and comfortable, clean seating including tables & booths. Coffee was served in oversized cups. Creamers & sugar were already at the table. (Nice) My husband had hash browns, bacon,... More

From the TripAdvisor reviews we were expecting quite a bit better. Roast beef was somewhat dry and the country fried steak was a bit fatty. Probably not their best day for service either, quite a long wait just to take our drink orders

While traveling around, we always look for local eateries and have had some awesome experiences. Flynnies did not disappoint. Derek was our server and did an amazing job. It seems everything is made from scratch with the freshest ingredients - mostly by his mom. We had juicy burgers on pretzel buns with homemade cole slaw and chili...all made from scratch... More

We were just driving around and "seeing the sights" in Dixon when it was lunch time. We like to stop at a local "4-calendar-diner" in town if we can. We heard Flynnies was the perfect place- qualifying as 7 star, so we had to go. Oh Boy...I had a BLT and it was the best bacon with fresh leaf lettuce.... More

Description
Flynnie's Diner is a delicious Homestyle Cookin' diner located in Dixon Illinois. We feature classic Diner style stools, tables and booths in a very friendly and personal environment. We are not a truck stop. We are a personal family experience where even the old guys can hang out daily and feel well known.
