Chicago Pit BBQ is known for its delicious barbecue. We have multiple locations across Chicago and the south suburbs. Our goal is to continue serving great food and providing quality service to our loyal customers. We want our customers to know that nothing has changed just the name.

The customer service is horrible the wait is extended! I placed an order an hour ago and waited 45 minutes before I received what paid for the cashier was extremely rude and confrontational when customers inquired about their orders. When asked the hold up for the orders, customers were rebuttaled with smart remarks from the attendant. When confronted about her poor customer service she stated she wasn't a mind reader. I will never purchase anything else from this restaurant! 👎👎👎👎👎👎

I have patronized 3 out of 4 locations over the past 10 + years including Chicago Hts, 97th & Halsted, and So. Western Ave.
Overall their food is good and their sauce is excellent; but sometimes the service is very slow.
Visited the Chicago Hts location at 8:30 last night and the service was slow and the person working the counter was rude, indifferent, and obnoxious.
My order taker said 15 minutes and it took 30 minutes. Order taker didn’t ask me what kind of sauce I wanted so I had to remind him.
My order finally came with several other orders and he called a different ticket number than mine. I asked if the food in the carousel was mine and he stated: “ Man, do you want your food or not?”
How rude can you get?
At this location I tried to call ahead, but no one answered the phone. I noticed while I was patiently waiting for my order, the phone would ring, but no one would answer. I did see the counter person on his cell phone though.
I’m on the email list since I’ve been a patron and it seems none of the locations accept online orders at the present time. You just have to appear in person and wait. In the past even when they were accepting online PAID in advance with TIP orders, you still had to wait.
Because of the bad experience last night and their disrespect for patrons time, I am unsubscribing from their email list.
There are other BBQ spots where the food is equal to or better and the service is courteous and friendly. It pains me to give a poor review when the food has been consistently good over a long period of time. But that’s why I’m glad there are competitors and hopefully the owners will step up their game.

Location in Riverdale. These ribs are boiled and not cooked on a pit. You can't even smell pit smoke from the outside. The ribs are big and tough, not tender at all. The sauce is tangy. The older lady cashier has a nasty attitude and very rude and inconsiderate. Stay away from this place. The food is horrible and the customer service. I wish I could get my $20.00 back. She did not have a mask either.

Waited in line for 2 hours to get in the restaurant and when I made it to the window the lady taking the orders created another line and disregard the line I was in because they had online orders. Ridiculous! I called the number for management an he over talked me, interrupted me when I was speaking and disregard what I was saying to him. Never and I mean never again will I support this establishment (if that's what they call themselves) and i will spread the word to people to patronize them at your own risk.

I’ve had a love hate relationship with Pit Stop for 2 years. The food is decent most of the time but the horrible service will make you never return. So disappointed in my last visit. The male cashier is rude and extremely disrespectful. He’s ruining their business.

I will never order from this location ever again. After waiting an hour and a half 😣for my order, 😱 only to get home and find that I have Chicken & Ribs' when I ordered large rib tip and links.
I have 5 bones of tips, end three chicken wings ??? 😡but We paid $16.24 for a large order.
They don't have enough help!
And the help they do have is rude.
Neither do they follow their own policies of having your ID along with your credit card. Because my man brought to his attention after him asking for his ID' that he didn't require the young lady's ID in front of us, yet when he brought it to his attention, the young man got smart.😳 So again it's unfortunate as we try to patronize our black businesses that this is what we get!?!?

The meat and sauce, very good the portion size was plenty. The only thing I didn't like was the 30 min. wait for the food. The dinner was 4 wings & ribtip w/coleslaw. If you're not in a hurry and don't mind the long wait, this is a very good rib spot. Also, this is carry-out only. I placed my order, paid & waited, Idk if ordering on line is any faster maybe I'll try that way with my next visit

The food is decent but the service is terrible. Be prepared for a long wait for a carryout order. Even if you call ahead, they will not prepare the food until you approach the window and pay for your order.

ZERO STARS!! HORRIBLE HORRIBLE SERVICE!! The guy at the counter yelled at us like we were on the street!! BEYOND RUDE and DISRESPECTFUL!! So many people have complained about their service but continue to support and give them their money… I’ll NEVER support this business again!!

Formerly known as I57, the location at 9707 S. Halsted, is a throwback to Leon’s back in the day. Rib tips are tender (be sure to get extra hot and mild sauce mix). Not a fan of the links as they always seem slightly under cooked (maybe it’s the consistency) and I usually get my gizzards from Harold’s. The biggest drawback is that my phone in orders always come with an attitude and the employees at the window get tired of folk quick. Nevertheless I always have to grab some tips when I’m in town!
