Always, a "must" for breakfast...everything is fabulous. The buffet is extraordinarily special. The view north...the lake, park, beach, North and East Lake Shore Drives, Michigan Avenue...not to be missed. Always attentive service and frequent refills. I might add we were surprised the hotel no longer provides the Chicago Tribune...except in the basement gift shop...sold out. Hopefully, the restaurant will stay... More

I had breakfast in the Drake Brothers restaurant each morning. The breakfast and view was so awesome I never looked for another place to have breakfast.

Very pleasant and relaxing. The man at the inlet station made wonderful omelets. Gisele was quite charming. Gj was very helpful and even arranged a high time tea for us (had tried to call, 3 times, and ask for information concerning it before we arrived and nobody returned our call).

The atmosphere is great! Views are nice as well. Our family of eight enjoyed two mornings of the breakfast buffet. Both mornings were slightly different, which was nice. The kids really enjoyed the Nutella stuffed french toast and the additional Nutella packets. The sausage was great and the omelet bar was a nice protein-rich way to start our mornings (for... More

We had breakfast here twice and had terrific service from the hostess, very attentive bus boy and servers! Very unusual, but delicious buffet menu!

Had breakfast at the Drake Brothers restaurant. Ordered the Eggs Benedict. A different take on Eggs Benedict which included braised pork instead of traditional Canadian bacon. Absolutely wonderful!

Attentive, friendly wait staff kept our coffee coming--great coffee, too! Breakfast was cooked to order and very tasty. A large breakfast buffet was also available and looked very good. We opted for the eggs Benedict with an innovative twist.

I don't usually gravitate to or enjoy hotel restaurants, but Drake Brothers is an exception. I was greeted each morning by Gisela and the waitstaff, taken to a table with a view of Lake Michigan, and served breakfast exactly as I ordered it. Crisp bacon, well-toasted English muffins, medium poached eggs -- everything was perfect. I appreciate their efforts and... More

I'm a breakfast fanatic and, having run the Chicago Marathon on Sunday, was on Monday morning desiring a breakfast splurge. Drake Brothers admiringly went above and beyond my desire. In particular, the service was superlative -- always attentive but not hovering. Food quality was superb as well; for example, I love waffles, but many restaurants are dropping them from their... We ate lunch here while at the Drake. While the service and ambiance were great, the food was average and nothing special. They have a very limited lunch menu. Our orders were Caesar Salad and their Chicken Sandwich. The salad was no more than the "bagged" type you get at the grocery store and the chicken sandwich was small on... More
