One of my favourite restaurants in Chicago. Great ambience. Their Sangria is excellent. Kung Pao chicken and Thai Hot pepper are great.
The service was great. Our server was very personable and attentive. The food was average. I expected it to be better. Don't get me wrong, it wasn't awful. I've just had better.
I am going to be outright frank and let you know this is not the place to be having meals when you are very hungry during Christmas break. We called for a table we were told 15 minutes, We reached within our 15 minutes time limit and found a long line of people waiting ahead of us. There was an... More
This restaurant was close to our hotel on Ohio street . We had a great time at Lao Sze Chuan and decided to give this place a try. we were quite dissapointed with the food. its not authentic Chinese or Thai more like a mixture of all sorts but not nice. The service was also very slow and unattentive. We... More
We stopped in for Thai food (first ever experience) and loved this place. Food was delivered quickly and it was plentiful for the lunch special. I couldn't eat all of my bowl which is unusual for me! Flavor galore!
I loved that the staff at Big Bowl were so efficient, on Christmas day. The food however was a bit of a disappointment. We ordered the veg. wonton soup, veg. pot-sticker, The chef's vegetable stir-fried with tofu. The only item that was ok (in flavour) was the pot-sticker. Everything else was quite salty and overwhelmed with brown sauce. The portion... More
After a full day of Christmas sale shopping we tucked in to Big Bowl for a late lunch and were delighted with our meals. We ordered chicken satay, basil beef, chicken lettuce wraps and calamari. The service was fast and friendly and the food delicious.
Went here for dinner last week while in Chicago. Diverse menu with a lot of selections. Quick service. Food was good also. Better yet, the prices were really affordable. Order family style so you can sample several different things. Spicy green beans were hot and tasty.
Big portions of stir-fry means that generally a lot of food gets wasted, unfortunately. I saw a lot of patrons leave behind half-eaten plates of food. But the food was excellent. The vegan starter option was out of this world delicious.
