Reliable, very popular, cafeteria, hence the motto "See your food". Famous for breakfast, when you might encounter Barack Obama, but don't overlook lunch and supper. Solid dinner entrees in the $7-8 range, such as roast beef, chicken, fish, pork chops or stew. Steaks a bit...More

This mid-century-style cafeteria serves excellent traditional American diner fare. Breakfast items are served every day. We eat here practically every time that we come to Chicago but their vegetarian omelets and hash browns are so good that I’ve never tried anything else. The restaurant only...More

Wonderful cafeteria style restaurant. Best home made biscuits and potato corn chowder soup out of this world. The sandwiches excellent. There were 4 of us and we all raved about everything. We will go back for breakfast some day. The staff very entertaining and friendly.

Went with my wife’s family. I enjoyed the Ruben Sandwich. French Fries would have been great. The Hash Browns were not good. Sample my wife’s BBQ Ribs, they were delicious. Valois also has good looking Stew and a Prime Rib. Cash only!

Sweet people, feel like you're coming to your grandparents and aunts and uncles to feed you. Prices are amazing. The Patti melt was outstanding, as was the rice pudding. Salad was enormous, enough for two. Great value!
