Awesome little restaurant right on navy pier. They have two sides. Ones bar makes burgers or breakfast food depending on the time of day and the other bar makes drinks. This place has a special meaning to me because I just got some great news while standing outside this bar, so we walked on in happily surprised to find someone... More

My wife had never been to Nay Pier so we stopped for a quick lunch before heading back to Minnesota. Looked like a place for a good lunch. Considering the outrageous cost of parking to get a quick lunch for 3, a little disappointed. service was quick but not much to the food that stood out. Good thing we were... More

Didn't stay long so can't say much about the food, but was not impressed. Beer and wine in plastic cups?!?!? Asked a question about the taps and was given a sheer of papers that's said ".....rotating tap" of about 3 companies and then the norms. She couldn't help me. But prices for drinks and food were cheap.....I just think there... More

Visited in July 2016 with family. The service was very fast, but the food was only ok at best. I got the fried egg sandwich, which was ok but definitely not enough for a meal. The location on the pier was great, but this was definitely not the greatest of restaurants.

Stopped by on Saturday to catch the Cubs while drinking a few and having something to eat but wished I never did. After grabbing a seat, I realized that this place is nothing more than a poor man's version of Five Guys with a bar. The food was horrible. I ordered a double cheeseburger and fries, and quickly learned that... More

I should have guessed that there was a reason it had the shortest line in the food court at the airport. Soggy fries, overcooked dry burger. Don't bother.

This is not the original Billy Goat's as seen on the skits from Saturday Night Live. They have expanded to several location with Navy Pier just being one of them. Why they continue to expand is beyond me. Their food is crap, their attitude is crap, and their prices are high. It is by far the worst place to eat on... More

We ate breakfast at Billy Goat Tavern. It's not your usual place to eat breakfast, but very good food. The place is decorated by old photos and it makes you feel like you stepped back in time.

Being a Chicago landmark, we thought we'd grab a bite at the Billy Goat, Navy Pier. Pretty pricey for the little bit of burger and huge bun. Wouldn't recommend.

Staying in Streeterville

Neighbourhood Profile
Streeterville
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
