Ok, we were a bit late (20 mins) for our reservation but we called and the room was not crowded. Food was terrific but the service was inexcusable for the price-- we were basically abandoned over long periods. Will probably not be back.

Went to dinner there with three other people and would have to say that we all ended up being deeply disappointed. We ordered the tasting menu (the longer one) along with the wine pairings. Overall, it was a very disappointing experince...while some courses were amazing - like the lobster ravioli in a wonderful lobster reduction...many others were wanting. As for... More

I love Spiaggia. I suggest that you save this place for special events, anniversaries, birthdays etc, as it is excellent and expensive. I'd love to eat here often but it is very pricy.

'Twas a private dinner for about 20 diners, starting with the best diver scallop ever: crispy dewlap, chanterelles, and reggiano; then lobster ravioletto, then venison sausage in the loin with pieces of duck liver, ending with babas au rhum but the babas WERE CHOCOLATE...thus the WOW,

Had a business dinner here, it was amazing. Service was perfect and the food as outstanding. We had a limited menu but every option was well prepared and presented. I will be back with my wife!

3* Chicago restaurant where the great and the good hang out ! Wonderful food but eye wateringly expensive ! Try Spiaggia Cafe for lunch and tip the barman for the gossip ! Great location on Michigan Avenue, nice spot for a Martini after a glam shopping trip!

This might have been the most fun we've ever had at dinner. Incredible flavors, combinations I'd never even think of doing in my kitchen (or be able to do in my kitchen), delightful wine and outstanding service. With that said - we could have flown from Chicago to L.A. for the same price. It is outrageously priced - as in... More

Visited Chicago for a work trip, and took my husband along for a little getaway. We'd wanted to try Spiaggia for years, and were very excited to have this opportunity to do so. We were very disappointed. The service upon arrival was warm and friendly, but a bit less so table-side. Our serving staff was adequate, but at a restaurant... More

Overrated. Generally, service was good but there was a pretentious air. We were given a poor table even though the restaurant was only a third full at any point during our dinner. Service was good but the food and wine list were very over priced. Food presentation was very good but portions were small. All in all it was really... More

Spiaggia is a pricey and upscale restaurant but it has a separate cafe which is more modest, but with excellent food. I understand Spiaggia is the Obama's favorite restaurant but of course, he's out campaigning. Had the gnocchi -- delicious -- and a very small, but excellent filet. Not quite as exciting as we thought it would be. But, the... More
