Stopped in for lunch. My wife asked if she could order a side cup of soup only but the server said she would have to order a full bowl. I thought this was odd since I was ordering an entree but whatever. I had a steak sandwich with fries which was cooked well and was tasty. It also arrived at... More

This restaurant was crazy busy, but we did not have to wait very long for a table. The bands in the parade would come through and play, so was a festive atmosphere. The service was excellent! I had the chicken pot pie and it was delicious and nice and hot! The drinks could have had a bit more whiskey!

I was visiting Chicago with my husband while he attended meetings. My travel diary was almost empty so I walked over to the bookstore which is across the street from this restaurant. I had a little time to kill after picking out my new diary so stopped in here for a flask of red wine while I waited. It was... More

We were walking from the Lake Shore back to the CTA and this place afforded us a chance to sit down and eat. If I had known it was a chain I would never had stopped. The food was standard chain food, nothing special. Our tip off should of been the bags of carry out food sitting on a table... More

Great local pub, and they "get" gluten free, and suggested some great dishes. They also have Tito's vodka. Overall, just a great place to meet people after work. Crowded, but staff takes care of everyone well.

The two of us went there for a Sunday brunch as it was close to our hotel, and we had been there a few years before and had good memories. Upon this second experience, we were given a menu that included (brunch) -- mostly breakfast food; lunch burgers and sandwiches, and dinner entrees. The brunch was served until 4 PM... More

We went here for dinner mainly because it was close to our hotel. The service was good and the food was good too, nothing spectacular. Very quite atmosphere and plenty of options for food and drinks.

The service was good each time we visited. My husband and I stayed at the attached hotel so it was very convenient. The food was decent bar food, but nothing special. And we were disappointed at the lack of English atmosphere.

The E&C is attached to the Club Quarters Hotel, Central Loop where we stayed for a business trip. Serves breakfast, lunch and dinner. The breakfast was good, with ample choices for whatever appetite you have. The dinner menu had a lot of excellent choices (mainly British style fare). I recommend the Steak and Mushroom Pie.
