This was recommended to us by a Youtuber i watch named Sayhitomatthew.
We love pizza and know Chicago is know for the pizza and they werent wrong. nearly ever pizza store we went to was amazing but Ginos takes the cake for best pizza.
The restaurant was really cool. You walk in and its covered in writing all over the walls, the seats, just everywhere. They give you a pen so you can write on the wall which is really unique.
The stuff were all very nice and the prices were great for what you get. Keep in mind, take the staffs advice about portions....
We ordered the medium meaty legend (staff talked us down from a large thank god). It was so filling they we should of went for a small... we had half a between two and were full. It was an amazing pizza (our first deep dish pizza) and it tasted incredible. The only this fault i can give is the pizza crust wasn't as great however it still wasn't bad. The pizza toppings and sauce made up for this big time. My partner got desert and again is was a HUGE portion but he said it was fantastic.
They packed up the rest so we could take it home which was awesome! This is worth trying at least once especially dine in.

We chose this Gino's East at this location because they took reservations. Simple as that. I wanted the kids to try Chicago deep dish but didn't feel like waiting an hour to be seated and another 45 minutes for food. It was a holiday week and we thought crowds would be tough. Turns out the Sunday night we went was not crowded at all. We ordered a large deep dish and a large thin crust. The kids had not tried the deep dish and it got mixed reviews (picky kids). But my 17 year old and I dominated it. The thin crust was surprisingly good as well. Wings, drinks...all were good. The service was outstanding as well. I know there are huge arguments over who has the best Chicago deep dish...we really enjoyed this Gino's all around.

We had a good experience overall. The front desk was very friendly and quickly had the three of us seated within a few minutes.
The server was good and kept our drinks full.
It was the Deep Dish Pizza that left us lacking in taste. The cheese was very chewy and almost gummy. The sauce was weak and lacking flavor.
Out of the three Deep Dish places we visited this was my least favorite.

I bought one of their frozen pizzas from Jungle Jim's and it was the 2nd worst pizza I have ever had. The worst being anything made by DiGiorno. I was wary of buying it when I saw the amount of harmful ingredients they put into this mess. But I have never had deep dish so I decided to try it. The instructions said to bake at 375 for 40 to 50 minutes. I took it out around 42 minutes.
The crust was hard and didn't resemble pizza crust at all. The dough under the toppings was a soggy mess. On top of the toppings was a layer of water. The only good thing about this pizza is maybe, MAYBE, the toppings. I threw the whole thing away and swear I will never eat this garbage ever again.

Whether deep dish or regular crust, the pizza was truly fantastic. But what was particularly remarkable was how hard the short-staffed employees worked. Understaffed on a busier than average Monday night, the staff did a brilliant job. Very well done. My only advice would be to expect a wait - but it’s worth it.

I have had the Thin Crust and Deep Dish. Best Freshest ingredients ever. I am 69 years old been eating there since my teens. People line up for half a block to get in.
I had a Friend who worked there. We just skipped the line and our Booth was ready for us..Got lots of Nasty stares from People. Been rated one of the TOP Pizza's in the Country!!!

Just reopened after the COVID hiatus. Old fashion tables new staff slow but worth the wait. Best pie I have had in chi town. Makes all the tourist traps like you know wish they were pizza huts.

Ok, I hope this place hangs on due to terrific pizza. But, they need to pump up staff. Nice kids, but hostess leaning on stand looking bored. Bust she seated us per our request. 4-5 young females/staff clustered together without regard to customers.
But, pizza is soooo good we will return. Kids are kids, but hope it doesn’t hurt business.

Met here for an early dinner with friends. Miraculously had the place nearly to ourselves. Deep dish pizza was to die for. Staff friendly and helpful. Can't wait to be back in the Windy City so I can return!

Great pizza and salad! There was 12 of us and everyone loved the meal. The chicken wings and mozzarella sticks for our appetizer were very good. Nobody left hungry.

My friend recommended Gino's as the most typical Chicago-style pizza. Whether it was or not, I can't say, since it was my first--and heretofore only--time eating Chicago-style pizza. What I can say is that it was extraordinary. We got the Gino's supreme. My friend recommended the small size, but I thought surely two guys can handle a medium. Nope, we took half of it home in a box and got to enjoy it for another meal or two. Mozzarella sticks were outstanding also.

Its a little pricey, and the toppings are expense for what you get, but if you are in the mood for excellent deep dish pizza, this is the place to go!
