Some of the best Thai anywhere. Prices are fair, coupons are given, but not usable! Tiny place has always suffered from poor management. Owners speak very poor English, so you never know what and when you food will arrive.

Really delicious and authentic Thai food. Their curries are amazing, the tom kha soup is great, don't miss the "one bite salad." Ordering off of their more "traditional" menu is always an adventure that doesn't disappoint.

Spoon Thai claims to have authentic Thai food and I was really looking forward to a good authentic meal. Dinner at this Thai restaurant turned out to be just average. The Papaya salad ( Som Tum) which is a Thai staple was definitely not made in the traditional Thai style ( there was no "TUM" done to it) . The soft... More

I discovered this Lincoln Square gem when I first moved to Chicago and I would say it's my go-to Thai. The Beef and Broccoli is always spot-on; the Pad See Ew tasty; and the special Thai menu something worth looking at. It's an easy spot with parking out front, BYOB, and fast.

Thai Spoon is probably the best of the 4 Thai restaurants in the Lincoln Square area of Chicago. (Sadly none really rate a "very good" score.) The decor is attractive, service was okay, and the food decent, but the big bargain is the 20% discount the first time you order online take out. I'd go back, to satisfy a craving,... More

My husband and I love to eat at Spoon Thai when we visit Chicago. The one bite salad, duck larb and soft shell crab are outstanding. Do not get the usual spring rolls or pad thai when you visit this little gem of a restaurant. Branch out a little and you will be well rewarded. Excellent value and service. We... More

I was on vacation in Chicago ad was staying with friends in Lincold Square. Thai sounded great or dinner especially since it seemed EVERY restaurant worth going to downtown was booked solid. Honestly I wasn't expecting much but Spoon Thai was fabulous!!! The menu had a lot to offer including the Americanized Thai food, Pad Thai, Pad See Eue, etc.... More

Best crab Rangoon in the state of Illinois, large servings of Food at a very reasonable price. Very small place off a busy street, has Thai chefs cooking.

Not a fancy place, but I thought the food was fine (and I've eaten not-dumbed-down-for-foreigners food in Thailand). I can recommend the banana blossom salad, fish in garlic and chili and shrimp with tamarind curry.

So Spoon Thai has you're everyday run of the mill Thai food. Yep, nothing special. Nothing to write home about. Got take out from here two times (different things each time) hoping to find a home run and it didn't happen so probably won't be going here ever again. The pad thai tasted just like pad thai from anywhere else... More
