I have been to amazing steakhouses all over the US, and many abroad. Every once in awhile, one will “wow” me. This one came close, but a $550 tab for four should nail it, every time. The dutchess cut filet is already served with bernaise,...More

Great food unbelievably bad attitude.. We were seated 30 minutes after our confirmed reservation. We were seated at a corner booth and we're shortly told repeatedly thereafter "told we needed to immediately relocated because they had a much larger party that needed to sit in...More

This is a great restaurant. Not cheap but adequate. The environment was great and even better was service. Service was harmonious, non-intrusive, pleasant. Menu and wine list are excellent. Emphasis is on meat dishes but there are alternatives, appetizers were fantastic.

Recommended Bavettes by friends here .. It’s a huge cavern of a place .. but every table was taken . It’s quite dark inside but plays nice jazz which sets the mood .. we covered most of the menu .. highlights being the crab cakes...More

We were recommended this restaurant by our front desk agent at the Raddison Blu hotel. She called the restaurant for us and we were lucky enough to get a reservation since it was already past dinner time. Great ambiance, delicious steaks and top notch service....More

Where do I start - make a reservation to avoid waiting because you will wait - we had a reservation which we made a month in advance - I call it out because the people that sat next to us had to wait two hours...More

We had a fantastic evening, with excellent food and wine. The interior is a must see and added to the ambiance created. The service was very good. We will definitely return again. Any of the steaks on the menu would be a great choice.

I've dined here twice. Both times it was amazing. The first time we came as walk-ins and ate at the bar. There was no shortage of great service at the bar. The Bar tender was great with suggesting food and drinks. The second visit was...More

Most reviews have pegged Bavette’s as the best steakhouse in the Windy City, and in two words, I agree. It’s not easy being the best in the cow capital of the United States, but they have succeeded. I had been to their Vegas restaurant, but...More

Over the bridge on Wabash to Kinzie turn left. Up the road about 4 blocks on your right. However long that takes you to walk. I would say at least 20 minutes if you are taking a leisurely stroll.
