When you can get in here you will enjoy some very delicious food and a very lively crowd. Lots of fun but noisy so be ready. Fabulous Crudo, and Tuna, and a really good pork shank. I did not get the pig face but maybe...More

The G&G is a solid choice in the West Loop of Chicago even thought it usually involves waiting for a table. . . even with a reservation. The menu includes a long list of small plates high on creativity and strong on execution. Kind of...More

Even though it's hard to get a table, since the food is good and the prices are reasonable, it doesn't hurt to stop by and ask(you might just get lucky). The first time I made a reservation 3 months in advance and everything we had...More

I wouldn't say it was worth the hour long wait. The goat dishes didn't live up to the hype; however, the other dishes were not lacking as much. My favorites were the wood oven roasted pig face, which was so soft and rich, and the...More

Made reservations well in advance. We sat close to the kitchen which was enjoyable. We ordered a range of different items to share. Let me say, this is not a light meal. The menu was interesting, and the specials were very good. The restaurant was...More

I was very disappointed! Portions were very small even tho this is a small plate restaurant and dishes are meant to share. And I felt it was way overpriced for what you get! We shared the halibut which tasted very delicious but was ridiculously small....More

Greek Town make up the West Loop. The neighborhood is

I do not recommend bringing children. There is no kids menu. There many better choices for kids in the city. I would suggest RJ Grunts or Heaven on Seven. If it's a weekday and lunch lookup Revival Food Hall.

I do not think I would bring children to The Girl and the Goat. It is very dark and the bar is adjacent to the tables. The bar is knee deep with people and the conversation is loud. The atmosphere is geared to young... More

Sorry for the delay. It is pricey. Above a normal dinner for 2, but I think the food was above normal, so you get what you pay for. Again sorry for the delay. Didn't notice I had an open notification.

Description
Girl & the Goat has been serving fun foods, craft beers, and making wine in a rustic and kick-butt environment since summer 2010. The restaurant opens at 4:30 every day, and stays open until 11pm on weeknights and until midnight on Fridays and Saturdays (until those last late night eaters scrape their fork across the plate for the last time, or finish licking their plates until they're shiny and clean). The Goat's menu is divided into three categories: Vegetable, Fish, and of course Meat--while vegetable, fish, or meat are respectively the main stars of their categories, there are crossovers in each area so you'll get a little bit of everything. Bread is baked daily, and there are always new creations on the menu. Girl & the Goat sits in the West Loop smack dab in the Randolph Restaurant Corridor, but the location is still gritty enough to appeal to the chef’s integrity. The Goat has a variety of seating choices, including a comfortable lounge, bar seats, standard table seating, and four seats close enough to the kitchen line that you might be asked to help.Girl & the Goat blended their own wine, and it's tasty. There are beers on tap from Three Floyd’s and a couple others. If you're lucky, you might come across the elusive collaboration beers that Stephanie personally crafted with a couple of beer buddy cohorts. In addition to tap beers, there's also a bunch of bottles to choose from. Girl & the Goat is open 7 days a week, because The Goat is a tireless beast, and besides, who needs rest anyway? Girl & the Goat accepts reservations but always welcomes walk-ins, nomads, adventurers, and those of you who don’t like to plan.
