The food here is without a doubt, very good! I have to agree with the Dec, 2016 from someone that titked it "Very Dissappointed". The owner/waiter and maybe even the cook, had one too many jobs. We were taken to our table with hardly a word, and left to sit there waiting for someone....anyone! Finally he came and took our... More

A hidden gem - I almost do not want to rave about this restaurant so as to keep it from being too busy - though the smallish dining room was full. VERY reasonable prices, good classic French preparations with an eye toward freshness and appealing plating. Classic French onion soup or a soup du jour (the delicious cream of broccoli... More

Great French food for very reasonable prices. Server was awesome, making sure my daughter was at ease. Very low key place to enjoy wonderful dinner.

Loved the service- so personal and the restaurant is so intimate. We went to the small bar. There was a couple there and you feel like you are with friends in someone's home! The food is excellent and reasonably priced. We sat by the window. I had the french soup and many appetizers- all delicious! You won't be disappointed!

My wife and I recently spent a weekend in Chicago. For dinner on St.Patrick's Day we naturally thought "French"! We wanted to avoid the crowds and Le Petit Paris has an off-the-beaten path location which is hard to do in the heart of Chicago's trendy Streeterville. We felt like we were back in Paris the moment we walked through the... More

It was a perfect meal from start to finish. The flavours were deep and reached down to the soul to satisfy. The tastes were straightforward. Because it is obvious the Chef believes in his food, everything was delicious and never overly fussy. This really is wonderful bistro food. Great French Cote Du Rhone by the glass. And the bar, well,... More

We go frequently and usually order the same menu. This is a small restaurant owned by a Frenchman who takes great pride and cares about minute details in his restaurant. If you can accept that you will love the food and preparation. Alain only serves what he finds fresh and therefore is out of some menu items. I usually get... More

This is tops. A quaint location and ambiance with attentive service by a true French host. Monsieur A prepares and directs every detail of your special evening meal. The food is excellent cuisine with an American French flair. Reasonably priced with well balanced portions. This is a must on your next dinner reservation in Chi-town. You won't regret...PROMISE!

The staff at this restaurant is simply amazing. Whenever I travel to Chicago be it for business or pleasure, Alain, the owner makes sure to greet me in person and goes out of his way to make sure I am enjoying my meal. Excellent lamb dishes and easily the best steak tartare I have had.

Having lived in Paris, I often seek out French restaurants. I love the French people and the excellent cuisine. However, the chef/owner of Le Petit Paris was extremely arrogant. I had picked the restaurant from reviews on line, and was dining with a college friend I hadn't seen in over 20 years. We were both very disappointed in our evening.... More

Staying in Streeterville

Neighbourhood Profile
Streeterville is where visitors head for play at Navy Pier, a pseudo amusement park and development of restaurants, shops, rides, and other activities. You’ll find lots of action and excitement on the docks. Along the pier, you’ll see the statue of the captain for whom Streeterville is named. While you enjoy your fair share of sightseeing at the pier, you can also visit other popular attractions there such as the Chicago Children’s Museum and the Chicago Shakespeare Theater. Off the pier you’ll find more restaurants from low-cost pubs to high-end establishments. Arts and culture aficionados should be sure not to miss the Museum of Contemporary Art.
