We stopped here for a margarita and to share a meal. The margarita was good and we had the carne tacos. The meat was tender and tasty. Nothing extraordinary but definitely good.

Mercadito was one of the restaurants recommended by our hotel, so we took a chance. And it paid off! They pride themselves on their margaritas, and they should, because they were anything but ordinary. The food was delicious - fresh, and full of flavor. Everything we ordered was fabulous. But what impressed us even more than the food was how... More

We made a reservation but it was pretty packed so had to wait half an hour by the bar for our table to be ready. Margaritas were great, and strong! Food portion sizes were small, but that is always a good thing as sometimes portions can get out of control and leave you feeling over stuffed. Food was well presented... More

Margaritas, tacos, ceviches, salsas and quesadillas. Hey, it's all there and I felt it was very tasty. I've found some Mexican food in US can sometimes lack any 'kick' but I thought this was pretty good. Service was fine, the evening we went wasn't overly busy so didn't find it loud like other reviews. But to be honest, if I... More

Fun atmosphere, good drinks, very attentive staff, great menu items. Just a tad dark and loud for dinner, but it goes with the atmosphere

We had a pretty terrible experience by the service staff here. We had made reservations weeks in advance but arrived and still waited for 45 minutes for our table on a Saturday. They didn't even say sorry for the wait, nothing. I did end up convincing our server to give us a round of shots at the end of the... More

What about if one goes out for dinner to enjoy good company and good conversation and one is unable to hear a single word of what is being said? No matter how good the drinks and food may be,the painful environment noise makes a night out with friends a wasted evening. Yes,the food is good, the drinks are excellent and the... More

I visited with four friends before a theater show on Saturday night and it was really nice! I did not love the salsa and felt that it was overpriced but I loved the enchiladas!! Maybe the best I have ever had! The margarita with the fire was awesome too!!

We stayed at the Kinzie Hotel which is less than 2 blocks away from Mercadito. I had read about it doing research on restaurants near our hotel. It was so great the first night that we went back the next night. Hubby had two different ceviches and loved them both. My daughter and I shared the enchiladas and rice and... More

I was hesitant to go here based on reviews that complained of the noise level, and the food being overpriced for what it is. However, when I looked at the online menu I just had to try it! I had red snapper tacos and my daughter got the enchiladas with shrimp. I can't even describe how incredible both entrees were,... More
