This is a sandwich shop. One would think they'd know how to make sandwiches, right? This place was a major disappointment.

I have a disability that most can not see and thus requires me to have a service dog, at first she was questioned and I thought here we go again.. my travel had been challenging already. When the staff realized she indeed was a service dog immediately they apologized and was willing to admit that they were not as trained... More

Good food, fast service, courteous staff and close to my hotel. Didn't know about it until I walked in!

I don't eat many sandwiches, but it was late and we were hungry. I thought I would splurge my diet while in Chicago. We ate at the shop in the Gold Coast area. So forgettable. My friend eats a lot of sandwiches, she had the tuna and proclaimed it the worst sandwich she ever had. Unless your drunk and desperate,... More

We were on the way to the airport and picked up a Jimmy John's sandwich. It was a great fast food sandwich, tasty and worth the price!!

This restaurant has the worst meats. Jellied full of fat. Definitely not for anyone trying to watch their weight or living a healthy lifestyle. All that bread just bulks you up, and I don't mean that in a muscle building way. It takes a long time to burn off those starchy carbs. I ate there once and wont go back.... More

If you are on vacation and have never been to Jimmy John's give it a try. It is better than subway but really along the same lines. Jimmy John's always seems so much cleaner to me than Subway's. The bread is nicer; it does not seem like it is pumped with air. The meat seems fresher and is not pre-portioned.... More

My son and I used the location in the Nordstrom's by the Conrad hotel. JJ started in Illinois so it was nice to go to one there. Opened early and stayed open late.

I've had Jimmy John's before in Georgia and didn't particularly care for it...it seemed to taste better in Chicago though. And they were opened later than the surrounding food places so that's a plus.

Average sandwich. We couldn't get into Jersey Mike's, 2 doors away because it was packed and we were on a schedule. Had no problem getting into Jimmy John's. I guess that speaks for itself.

Staying in Hyde Park

Neighbourhood Profile
Hyde Park
If you want to get a feel for quintessential South Side Chicago, you have to make a stop in Hyde Park, one of the city’s most popular neighborhoods. This historic area is home to two of the city’s most prominent cultural institutions, the Museum of Science and Industry and the University of Chicago. A stroll here will bring you past vintage and grand hotels converted into luxury apartment buildings; peaceful gardens, parks and green spaces; and ivy-adorned museums and other cultural institutions that speak to the city’s diversity and architectural beauty.
