Most people don't think of burgers in the heavily Asian Indian, Pakistani neighborhood of west Devon, but hey, sometimes you need a break from Biryani and naan flatbreads.
The Halal Burger satisfies your craving of fresh-never frozen Halal beef burgers every time. If your not familiar with term "halal", it simply relates to how food, including meats, beef, goat, chicken, etc, is prepared according to Muslim Law, similar to Kosher, and Jewish guidelines.
The menu consists of burgers of course, but also you'll find deli sandwiches, hot dogs, gyros, Italian beef, delicious wings, fish, and deep fried favorites such as cheese sticks, fried okra, pizza puffs, and chicken tenders.
The guys here have assembled some burger choices for you, such as the Fireball, consisting of various peppers, and Siracha. The Gladiator stares at you in the face with 2 fresh beef patties, turkey bacon, american cheese, fried egg, coleslaw, sauteed onions, pickles, along with lettuce, tomato, and mayo. They have around 12 specialty sandwiches and burgers, along with their version of California's famous In and Out Burger.
The Tilapia Angel Fish Burger, is a lightly coconut battered, fresh Tilapia filet, topped with avocado, onion, tomato, coleslaw, lime, and their special secret sauce. This fish sandwich is by far on of the best I've ever had in my travels across the U.S.
The chicken wings are some of the best on the north side of Chicago, with unique sauces, such as Peri Peri, Korean BBQ, and Angel Wings sauced in a sweet/tangy mango, and a Singapore pepper sauce. The wings are served with french fries, and an outstanding value.
The location is hidden in a low-key, strip mall along north California Ave, alongside, a Pho' restaurant, and Karaoke bar. Seating is available, but limited. It seems car dining is a popular choice, but many Chicago parks are close by as well for outside eating. Delivery is also available through the restaurant or one of the many food delivery services around town.
As of this review, I would have to say the freshness of the menu items, along with the price, is the best value for this type of food in the area, and not to be passed up.

This most important is that the restaurant is serving Halal meat. The burger is juicy. The hotdog is succulent. The fries is fresh. Price is reasonable. Fully satisfied!

luckily its in a strip mall in the. middle of nowhere. This is the best damn piece of meat this side of some mountain man's in Idaho. There might be something to the Halal process.Sadly, I think the fries are pedestrian. The restaurant itself is romantic for people in their teens, anyone else wouldn't want to eat here. But hey, try it out and at least try them.
