I ate there with my son and he loved it! The burgers are juicy and delicious. The fries were also unique. They put a little green spice on them which really highlighted the flavor of the fries!

I have eaten here once and had take out three times. Service was terrible. The food was ok. I tried take out so I would not have to wait so long for everything. The burger was actually raw not rare. I had asked for medium anyway. I won't go back.

Great spot! Excellent breakfast. Pancakes are fabulous - combo of cornmeal and buttermilk, unexpectedly delicious, and served with real maple syrup. Breakfast Pie is an individual quiche -like delight! Eggs were all perfectly cooked to order. Breakfast potatoes crisp and tasty. Friendly service. Hip spot, but not pretentious. We'll be back!

Lunch today (Monday 3/21) was a planned and determined visit based on a recent article published Chicago Eater. The fish was a minute/small piece of Tilapia fried in a very thick basting -- more dark brown basting than fish. A small portion of chips were "thrown" on the plate. Tartar sauce was a non event too -- tinted green !!... More

Johnny's Grill was an iconic restaurant on Logan Square for many years under the ownership of Nicholas Kalliantasis. It made the tern "greasy spoon" sound like Spiaggia. But Kalliantasis was forced out of business when the building's owner refused to renew his lease. So the property went dark for 15 months. Then Sarah Jordan arrived. Born and raised in Dublin,... Terrific charcoal sausages and hot peppers. Food was terrific but my mouth felt the burn for hours. The italian lemonade(actually a lemon italian ice) was terrific.

Stopped in here for breakfast mostly because of this place's close resemblance to the place in the painting "Nighthhawks." Pretty sure I was the only non-regular in the place; certainly, I was the only person there with a suitcase (I walked there from the Logan Square L stop). I was really hungry, yet could not eat all the food I... More

This is the classic 'greasy spoon' breakfast place. Order at the counter. We had great omelettes and coffee. My biggest complaint was that we had coffee in disposable cups. Other than that it was great!
