The restaurant was pretty empty when we arrived. We received our waters right away and were told our server would be by shortly. Well, we got tired of waiting (10 or so minutes), so my partner went to the bar and ordered our drinks. Finally...More

Just the decor is worth the trip ... and then you get to eat and drink here as well. Whoever envisioned, designed and built this place is to be congratulated.

Three of our party had steak, which was cooked perfectly and the different sauce choices was a nice touch. My one criticism was of the waiter. When we asked about the special of the day, his response was, "It's not bad, but not my favorite,...More

It is set alongside a man-made lake which makes for great ambiance. The service has always been very good and the food as well. They also distill their own Vodka and Gin!

Second visit there. We went for the bruschetta appetizer. It is the best. Rest of the menu is typical of other good restaurants. A number of Korean entrees are in the menu.

Right on the lake, and food is great! A tad bit noisy! Menu is varied, and had great choices. They distill their own spirits and Bloody Mary's are scrumptious!

I've been to lunch twice, and both times we had excellent service with food to match. As a former dreaded in Idaho) Southern Californian, I am used to a wide selection of restaurants. This place could stand up well next to any one of the...More

A pleasant place to eat with decent food. Some of the best French fries in CDA. Good restaurant for leisurely sandwich and a beer.

I have been to Bardenay is quite a few times over the last couple of years. And myself and whomever I'm with have never been disappointed in Bardenay's service, atmosphere, and food. But Friday night was a disappointment. The food was great! Our beverages were...More

When we first visited Bardenay in 2011, it was only a year old. The development and shopping area were still mostly plain dirt, the grass around the lake wasn't fully seeded in places, and the city didn't have the fountain working yet. We've averaged one...More

Established in 1999. With three locations in Boise, Eagle and Coeur d'Alene that capture the spirit of Idaho and the Northwest, Bardenay Restaurant and Distillery is a cornerstone of Idaho's restaurant and bar industry. The original establishment is located in a once empty warehouse on the Historic Basque Block in downtown Boise, Idaho. On April 25th, 2000, history was made when we served the first cocktail to included spirits distilled in a restaurant in the US. As the nation's first restaurant distillery, Bardenay has set an industry precedent as the first full service restaurant and bar with the ability to create handcrafted liquor on-site. Our distillers are happy to give tours as time allows. Please ask your server if you are interested in a closer look at our operations. p.s. We are only allowed to sell our fine spirits by the drink. If you would like to purchase a bottle, you may do so at many of our state liquor stores.
