I was intrigued by the look of the building and the name, as well as the signage for "finger steaks", a dish I had not partaken in. This is a beer hall with multiple TV's, pool tables, polished concrete floors, and an fun-looking outside area with three regulation horseshoe pits. Very "metal lunchbox" vibe. The menu was simple, mostly fried,... More

Love visiting in the summer, nice patio w/ horse shoe pits. Great burgers and cold beer. Bar tender's are especially nice and friendly. Great atmosphere to just relax and have a cold beer with family and friends.

Eight of our family members went here for dinner one night. It was ok. Pretty much everything is fried--finger steaks (a Boise item), fries, fish and chips, etc. They have a really nice outdoor seating area--complete with a horseshoe pit. Beware of drunks and/or people really bad at horseshoes at some of the tables close to the pit. Good cold... More

For a good, not fast food burger, you can't beat The Goose. The fries are pretty good too, and who can pass up 2 for 1 Tuesdays?

It doesn't look like much of a place but has the best finger steaks and steamer clams. Prices are average but highly recommend those 2 menu items.

This place doesn't look fancy but it has great specials, good beer, and lots of room. It beats the crowded bars you may find other places.

We love the Dutch Goose! It is the most excellent Dutch bar & grill in Boise. Do I need to mention the Two-for-One Tuesday special on burgers? Hey, I am Dutch, we like specials. There's a lovely back yard, with horse shoe throwing game area! We don't have those in the Netherlands ... so, a nice cultural experience :-) Anyway,... More

Our family, including teen agers were in town for a conference. tired of fast food from our long drive,we were looking for a decent dinner that would not "break the bank". The Dutch Goose delivered. We arrived for the prime rib special served on Friday nights after 6pm. When we first walked in, I was a bit concerned, but the... More

Dutch Goose is our neighborhood bar, but we go there for the food and cold beer. Get there early on Friday for tasty fish and chips. Their fry sauce is some of the best in the state with a touch of horseradish added in. Staff can be a little crusty sometimes but they are mostly sweethearts. We love the goose... More

My first impression was "no...Im not going in there!." My OCD was speaking as I drove up to the small square building with small dark windows. I peaked in the door and saw the worn out floor, dark wood, dark tables, and basic pool hall bar. There is an patio outside that has seen better days yet I entered through... More
