Went by boat from Savannah to this restaurant Friday night with two other couples. Sadly, the quality has gone downhill since our previous visits. The crab cakes were mostly filler and did not even taste like crab, the grilled oyster appetizer was cold, and the conch fritters tasted like hush puppies. When I asked our server what type of fish... More

This restaurant was recommended by our fishing guide as a good place to grab lunch. It's a t-shirt, shorts, and sandals kind of place with a great view of the water and a nice breeze...relaxing. My buddy and I had the shrimp and grits, son had the baby catfish. All agreed it was a good recommendation from our guide.

We were camping at Fort McAllister for 3 nights this week; two of those evenings, we ate at Fish Tales. The fried baby catfish are just like I used to have back home in North Florida. Hubby had the shrimp platter and also replayed it again on the second night. Lovely atmosphere, great food.

We noticed a long line the night before so we went during a slower time and had a late lunch the next day. The staff assured us the seafood was locally caught. The restaurant is on the local marina. The staff is young and enthusiastic, and the service was good. This is not fine dining, more like "fried-fried," but delicious.... More

We normally visit here 6 times a year, tonight the food was terrible. They charged more for the food and less quantity. Had better seafood else where in savannah. Probably won't go back.

After getting a recommendation, we decided to eat dinner at Fish Tales. It was a cool evening and the gnats were terrible. When we walked up they seated us outdoors. We did not know until we went back to our bed and breakfast that there was indoor seating as well. This had been a special occassion dinner and we could... More
