My family and I decided to have a bite to eat before seeing the play Snow Queen at Serenbe. The Hil was the closest place to the location of the play, so we decided to go there. What a wonderful surprise! We arrived there around 4:30pm, too early for their dinner hours, however the had a limited menu and we... More

I had one of the best culinary, dining and service experiences in my life at this location. I was a bit skeptical as we drove through rural Georgia just 45 minutes south of Atlanta. Then we arrives at this planned highly sophisticated community with beautiful homes and a restaurant to die for. The Hil was our destination for a family... More

It was recommended by my daughter and it proved to be a complete experience. From the staff, service, food and atmosphere it was perfect. The farm to table experience was especially interesting as the wait staff explained each ingredient of the many menu options. Perfect for any occasion and certainly worth the drive

I went here on a Saturday evening right before seeing the Sleepy Hollow Experience. We had reservations for 7:00 pm for 7 people and were promptly seated. The decor is very nice and may look a little upscale, but it was not stuffy, at all. We started with drinks and appetizers. For appetizers, we had the calamari, the beets, eggs... More

My husband and I had dinner here before a play. I love the Farmhouse Restaurant at Serenbe but decided to try The Hil. Glad we did! The food is excellent! We had calamari for an appetizer and it was better than any I've had including what I've had from Florida! My husband had a burger and fries and it was... More

My associates and I had a business dinner at the Hill with a local and we were all very impressed. The atmosphere was perfect for anything from a business dinner to a romantic dinner. The food was reasonable priced for the quality and the service as excellent. While it doesn’t look like a “steak house” I ordered the filet mignon... More

Husband I had a business dinner here at The Hil at Serenbe. I opted for the vegetable plate--lady peas, onions and tomatoes, roasted peppers, homemade applesauce. Everything was delicious. Husband had steak and enjoyed it. The area is lovely, and the waiter was helpful and descriptive. Go visit.

Wife who is gluten free and very healthy eater settled on grilled vegetables which were very good. My pizza was disappointing. Atmosphere good, server had an attitude as in "how dare you ask me if we use butter or oil to cook something" and " do we have any special food allergies" I should be aware of? I understand it... My husband and I drive out to Serenbe to visit the Atlanta Homes & Lifestyle Showhouse (not worth the $20 dollar per person entrance fee!!!). What was worth the drive was our lovely lunch at The Hil. Great service, nice ambiance and good food, actually very good food. My husband had the fish and chips and I had the wild... More

My husband and I are in town for several events and had been excited to try the Hil. We were NOT disappointed! They have great GF options and the wait staff are very knowledgeable of ingredients and preparations. What a pleasant dining experience! We were there for lunch on a weekday and had the crab fritters to start which were... More

Description
This unique, unassuming dining spot opened in August 2007 in the eclectic community of Serenbe, located just outside of Atlanta.

Owned and operated by the restaurant's namesake Chef Hilary White and husband Jim White, The Hil is their vision for a refined, yet informal, neighborhood restaurant, with a dedication to serving simple, farm-fresh cuisine.

Rounding out The Hil's team is Chef Hilary's mom, Sandy Pitsch, an experienced restaurant manager. The family effort at The Hil is a central element inspiring the restaurant's trademark warmth, consistency and superior service.

Chef Hilary's diverse menu is guided heavily by produce from Serenbe Organic Farm located just around the corner from The Hil. Vibrant flavors of the ingredients, prepared simply and served at precisely their peak, tell this story and make each dining experience at The Hil distinctive.
