Stayed at the the Hampton inn a short walk away. Looked at the previous reviews of El amigo an decided to give it a try. Out came the warm tortilla chips and salsa. The salsa was very good and not too hot as some places have it. They're not afraid to keep it coming also. 👍 Wifey steak fajita which... More

The chicken flautas were good, but the real reason I'm writing this review is to say that the flan at El Amigo is out of this world! Smooth, creamy texture. Best flan I've had in the United States. Just delicious!

We live in Atlanta and visit this restaurant when we come to our lake house. Have been eating here for years. Very good food. Nice selections. The carnitas are great! Nachos al carbon and flautas are good also. Nice family that runs the restaurant. Give it a try.

Most Mexican restarauntrs have bland food in our towm. This place doent have bland food. It has Flavor! When you order Fajitas its Awsome. Some places in town its just plain chicken, onions and bell peppers. This place seasons the chicken and its absolutley delicious!

Not a particularly memorable small-town Mexican place but the service was friendly and the food decent with relatively low prices. If you're staying at the Hampton Inn, it's within walking distance.

Ate here while staying in the Hampton Inn next door. The place is dated but clean. I ordered a chile relleno which I use to gauge the quality of a Mexican restaurant. I asked the server if it was a large pablano pepper and not the little regular pepper you sometimes get at a so-called Mexican restaurant. She assured me... More

It always looks closed when you drive up. They only turn on lights in the area of the restaurant you are eating. The service isn't the best. Food is okay though.

don't expect anything special, but if you want typical Mexican restaurant food, you will be satisfied. Server's English was poor, but that makes the experience more fun. Their drinks were nice and strong.

It would be difficult to find an item within the menu you wouldn't enjoy. Oh, and the margaritas aren't too bad either. Family friendly, good service, reasonable prices. Worth the visit.
