We had a group of fifteen for a special dinner. My food was just okay, a bit disappointing; acceptable but tasting unremarkable. My wife's entree was tasty but the shrimp were overcooked. Her salad had little dressing, but mine was floating in a puddle of dressing. The others ate without complaints or compliments on the food. The server was pleasant... More
We had a booth off to the side so I can't speak on the hibachi here, but the sushi we ordered was fresh and tasty. Our favorite was the maki roll (pictured plated by itself) with the fuji roll a close second. The only thing keeping them from gaining the fifth star is that our sexy roll (pictured in platter... We love Japanese steakhouses and Kumo's is on our list to go to for hibachi and sushi. It's not an elaborate show or anything uniquely different, but they are a solid performer when it comes to consistency in flavor, speed and value.
The first Hibachi grill that had exceptional taste and quantity . Most Hibachi steak houses left me hungry and not overwhelmed quality and flavor wise . Not Kumo . Fresh and flavorful and plenty to eat . You also get the culinary show ( which was good ) if you are into that . Don't miss Kumo if you visit... More
I once went to this restaurant t least 3 times a week. I enjoyed the staff, the chefs, the people who were running it and the food. THEN, once day I ordered something I always do and the new manager went ballistic because I asked for a change that I always had before. It actually was more profit for them.... More
We had a dinner there on Christmas day when nothing was open. The food was amazing and both our portions were huge. The service was excellent too, they checked all the details with us how we would like it done. We didn't have to wait long for the food, and it was presented wonderfully! I could highly recommend this place.
We went to the Kumo's in North Port, not Venice! The habachi cooking was fun to watch and the rice and veggies We're delicious however the chicken was tough as leather!
I just read "Hummer124's" review, and I must agree about the lipstick on the wine glass, since the same thing happened to me, and it was pretty gross. I had been wanting to try this place, since I do love the nice Hibachi Grill SHOW that they used to put on in the original Benihana's of Tokyo, among others. I... More
We long ago stopped doing the "chef show hibachi" stuff. However, we do still like that food. So we stopped in for a quiet lunch at Kumo today and we pleasantly surprised. The place is very attractive and the food is very good. Lunch prices are reasonable. So nice to get a good meal and that is also good for... More
