Took my 89 year old mother to Culvers in Venice for dinner last evening.

My mother was able to go sit down while we ordered. A typical good Culver's meal - when her burger arrived she commented how good it was to have a good burger (she is at a living facility where the food is good but just not a "burger place" burger. The custard was smooth creamy & delicious and she likes that she so many options for her single scoop sundae.

Always A Great Choice For Quality Slo-Fast Food

As far as "fast food" places go, I rate Culver's as the best. Great burgers that are many rungs above the top take-out, drive-up and general fast food franchises. Excellent quality, service, taste and appearance. Terrific ice cream as well. I put them on a par with California burger establishments like In & Out and Gott's. If you haven't tried a Butter Burger, do yourself a favor and try Culver's. It will be very hard to go back to other BIG franchise fast food servers.

Great as always. Best burgers! Def visit whenever in town! Varied menu and great selections for family / children. Highly recommend.

Poor management practices

Unnecessary wait time. January 14. We were at Store 784 on Rt 41. We ordered and sat at a table at 5:30 pm. We finally received our food at 6:10 pm. There were three other customers that waited as long. The response from management, a free serving of custard. The managers only priority was drive through the inside customers could wait. POOR management practice. Customers were even cleaning their own tables after the previous customers left. Another customer at an adjacent table never did get his shake. The correct response from the manager should have been complementary meals to compensate for the poor service.

Missing Food. Bad attitude

I have been coming here for a few years. It has always been very good. Yesterday I went at around 530 PM on 01April2025. I ordered through the drive thru and received my order. I went home about 15 minutes away and found that I was missing a Deluxe Burger. Now this is very inconvenient but mistakes happen so I drove all the way back. I went inside and VERY politely told them I was missing one Deluxe Burger. The manager tried telling me that it was a butter burger missing.....I know what I was missing and had the receipt. She rolled her eyes and turned to kitchen and said make a deluxe. She offered no apology or anything. I will say that the young kid at registered seemed embarrassed and apologized for her but at this point I was a little mad since I came in respectful and nice because these things happen. She then came out and handed me my bag and turned around and left., no apology, no coupon....nothing. I was not happy with the service and the manager. I hope this gets better at this Culvers in Venice Florida.

Worst encounter

Worst ever...short staffed,, not open inside, ling wait outside after placing order. I've rarely review...this is the 2nd time we've been extremely disappointed. Not patronizing this location anymore.

We stopped in when we were short on time. Our food came quickly and we received what we ordered. I had the grilled chicken sandwich. We liked the fries - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside.

Staff is not well trained

Not one of the better Culvers I have been to. The very young staff is just not detail oriented. They halfway clean the restrooms, the orders have to be redone and when you ask them a question they look at you very confused. Many of their locations supersede your expectations and we enjoy their meals and frozen mixer ice cream. My favorite sandwich is the Pork Loin with extra 🍅, mustard and mayonnaise. I usually pick onion rings but again I was less than happy at this location which still seemed to be pretty crowded on a Wednesday afternoon around 4pm. Other downside is they didn't keep the ice machines above the soda fountains stocked with fresh ice and it was almost 90 degrees outside.

Stopped taking food / dessert orders during dinner time!

Although there were 9-10 people standing behind the counter doing nothing, they had stopped taking food / dessert orders. How can this be? Did they forget that Culver's is a restaurant? I will NEVER patronize Culver's again!

The best burgers

These burgers are the absolute best. Better than restaurant quality. Despite it being labeled as “fast-food” it is not but that is perfectly fine because the wait is well worth it. Highly recommend!

FIRST TIME HERE, WON'T BE MY LAST!!!

My friend Carol wanted to meet me here for lunch and I was happy to try a new place. Service was a bit slow, but every eatery around here is short-staffed, so I get that! She ordered the FISH SANDWICH and a MILK SHAKE (both looked yummy) and I wanted the SOUTHWEST AVOCADO SALAD which came with a generous portion of CHICKEN BREAST on top. All great tasting. Would recommend!!! I do recommend this place
