Yummy, just one word to describe their Key Lime pie! A little over priced for pie and biscuits and slightly annoying that a tip was expected when all they were doing is serving over a counter in a shop but we were on holiday so paid anyway. I would say the best Key Lime pie I have ever tasted.

I have been coming here for years for their amazing key lime pie. I highly recommend that all of my friends and even strangers to stop. I have tried so many versions of key lime pies in the Keys and this is by far my and my family’s favorite. Every time we come down, we stop in and have a slice in the little garden out back (if staying locally, we visit several times). It doesn’t matter if it is 9 am or 9 pm. Their pies have just the right amount of tang and the meringue adds sweetness to counter the tang. When we are leaving the Keys, I fill my cooler up with ice and pick up a few pies to take home (I put them in my Blonde Giraffe insulated pie cooler bag and that goes into the cooler for the 12 hr trip). Recently, I brought one home for a friend’s birthday and they absolutely loved it (they’re former residents of the Keys, as was I). It is now their favorite version. Yes, the pies and slices are expensive, however for an amazing reminder of our trips to the Keys, it is well worth it!

I first visited Blond Giraffe in 2005 when it was in Marathon and I couldn’t wait to go again even though it was further from our hotel. It was worth it though; the key Lime Pie is still amazing and the lime drink was so refreshing. If only I didn’t live so far away I’d be here every week.

Based on the rahrah reviews I decided to try this place. They offer a variety of pre packaged products including key lime cookies, etc. but I was there mostly to try this famous pie. As of last week, the options were plain, chocolate topped with a thin cream ribbon at the crust, cream key lime and chocolate topped key lime sans the creme ribbon for $8.95 pretax. Key lime slice with meringue, the most traditional pairing, was a whopping $13. And no it wasn't for a particularly big single slice either. They were all just average Edwards pie singles size. I went for the $13 version. Was it good? Yes. However was it $13, drive down from Miami and bear that horrible traffic good? Or that much better than other key lime pies I had had at other restaurants in the Keys or elsewhere that cost half that or less? ABSOLUTELY NOT. It was maybe worth $6 - about the same cost as most other places in the Keys offering it. If it had been in that price range, this review would have been 4 stars. As priced, 2 stars and overrated.

We stopped here for “dessert for dinner” after reading rave reviews. I don’t think I’ve ever felt so unwelcome in an establishment. Not only did the one employee (who I overheard telling someone else that she was the manager) barely greet us, she let us stand in front of the wrong window for several minutes until we realized we were in the wrong spot, not saying a word. The pie was okay, if overpriced, and the signs about not taking cash felt confrontational. The worst part was the “Serenity Garden.” It’s a lovely spot, but with all the signs about being quiet and the cards in the table with reminders of all the rules, we felt very unwelcome. We ate our pie in silence, afraid to get kicked out if we so much as made a peep. The second we were done, we left quickly and laughed the whole way back to the hotel about how weird it was. We probably won’t be back,

If you want some key lime pie then stop in at this place, grab a slice and sit in the outdoor area at the back of the property. The pie was nice but sooo sweet (I would highly recommend sharing if you can!) and it was just so calming to site outside, watch the wildlife and take in the peace and quiet while eating the pie.

This is a good stop as you travel the Keys. The pie slices are steep but loads of people were buying plus many were getting whole pies. There is a tranquility garden where you can sit and enjoy your pie....really enough to share. Locks of Love, similar to the bridges in Paris are hung all over the garden. The flowers and trees are beautiful.

We had five hungry pie eaters and still we couldn't finish the whole pie in a single sitting! We had decided to buy the whole pie rather than single slices but perhaps we should have been more modest - very filling. Maybe we misunderstood, but it seemed that full pies were available only as take-away. Attractive shop - nice alternative to much more tacky tourist traps.

We were staying in Key Largo and this was on our "must-do" list. The shop is very charming, and full of delicious treats. I will note that some of the prices were higher in person than I recall seeing online. Two examples are the chocolate seashells (taste like sixlets) and the key lime taffy. Both good but probably not worth the price paid. We also purchased a whole classic key lime pie. The whole pie is available for about the cost of 4 slices, so it was a no brainer. Our hotel had a small fridge, so we were able to squeeze it in there and snack on key lime frequently. Delicious! Although we didn't really purchase anything to be immediately eaten - our pie was frozen! The staff kindly invited us to visit their serenity garden. So peaceful and beautiful. I would definitely stop here again while in Key Largo!

Best key lime pie I’ve ever had! I’m very picky about key lime pie I don’t like it to be too sweet or too sour. Their key lime pie was just right and you can get it plain, with whip cream, or with mousse topping. I like the plain it was perfect. I also tried the chocolate dipped on a stick and those were pretty good too! The place is very cute to visit

The key lime pie at the Blond Giraffe was very good. Unfortunately, the white topping on top was something that I would consider inedible and certainly not made from quality ingredients. The outdoor patio was nice and perhaps too well lit but the PLASTIC LOVE LOCKS all over the place were not only tacky but almost make me feel nauseous thinking about it. If someone you're involved with wants to buy you one of those things and you're not married for many years already, you may want to reconsider your relationship. The Key Lime Pie products I purchased at The Trading Post in Islamorada was without question a better tasting experience, even eating it to go.

I went out of my way to stop here and don’t regret the extra 35 minute drive north! Had heard that this place was ranked the best key lime pie in Florida and boy does it sure live up to its title. Their key lime pie is the best I had during my stay in the Keyes and puts all competitors in Key West to shame. The garden out back is really cute and nice to enjoy a slice of pie and a cup of coffee - tons of outdoor seating that makes you feel like you are in someone’s backyard. When I visited on a Tuesday evening it was nearly empty and very peaceful. My only regret is not buying a full pie to take home. Blonde Giraffe does not ship their pies (I really wish they would - if they did I am sure they would make a killing), and at the time I was concerned about transporting the pie back to Massachusetts. It wasn’t until I got back to Key West that I regretted my decision to not buy one to take home!!! My sole complaints are two. One is that they should expand their coffee menu to include espresso (they were also out of iced coffee when I visited). Second is that they need to incorporate sampling into their sales model as they sell a lot of other homemade key lime items in their store, but without being able to try them I was hesitant to buy an entire container. Don’t think twice about driving out of your way to stop here!

We visited about 8:05pm one night. We have 4 middle school children who are very well behaved. As they know they will not get a treat and we will leave if they do not behave. We placed an order for key lime pie on a stick. While we were checking out the employee gave us a speech about how this is not a playground and children can not run through the garden. Then she proceeded to tell us, very rudely, that the garden closed in three minutes. We would not have placed an order had we known this. We are always respectful of employees time and would have been out before 8:30pm. It only takes 5-10 minutes to eat, so by 8:20 we would have been out. We ended up trying to eat it in the parking lot and threw most of it away because it was frustrating to eat standing up. I’d think twice before visiting with children. They do not seem to appreciate children visiting this dessert shop.

Our garden closes at 8:15pm every night. This gives us time to clean the area before closing. We asked the girls why they closed the garden at 8:05pm and they swore they did not so we watched the camera footage. Unfortunately your family arrived at 8:16pm when the garden was already closed. There was nothing wrong with your family or kids, we are sorry it was only wrong timing.

We stopped by here two years ago on our way home from Key West. Little did we know we would be returning so soon and so often! We stayed at an inn nearby and came for pie twice and on our way out we got our sixth grader traveler chocolate dipped key lime pie on a stick to go!! On our visits each variety of pie was purchased. Traditional pie with whipped cream, meringue topping and chocolate drizzle with whipped cream. Every variety was fantastic! We bought a box of the key lime pie cookies to bring home. Twice when we stopped we ate our pie in the outdoor garden and listened to soothing music. The people working were always so nice. Can't wait to return!

By far, the best key lime pie!!!!!! You can order a whole pie or a slice, you can get it plain, with whipped cream, meringue, or chocolate. They give it to you frozen if it's to go, so it stays well. There's a pretty outdoor area where you can sit and enjoy a bit! Lots of other goodies like cookies, coffee, chocolates, etc.....
