I have dined here on several occasions. The wait is always just short of ridiculous and the food is just average. In my experience the service has been borderline non existent on most occasions. The Sunday menu is by far the best they have to offer. The bloody mary's with the beef rib is the main reason to make the... More

Heard great things about Ella's and the experience was just as good. In a party of 4 everyone enjoyed their meals. They don't do reservations, but were very crowded - on a Tuesday night! Service suffered a little - felt like our waiter was overworked. But the food was delivered (by another server) when it was hot, so just meant... More

It use to be really good until they started cutting back on quality and the service went down along with it, today everything went wrong, my server Emily it was absolutely horrible; rude, and no desire to do her job. My crab squash appetizer was hard and under cooked, I asked her for a new one and she put it... More

We ate dinner at Ella's Americana Folk Art Cafe recently and I must say it was a terrible let down. We were told this was a great gathering place that had excellent food at reasonable prices. We arrived and were sat within 10 minutes. The dining area was full, but not packed. We ordered the jerk chicken wings and the... More

This is by far the best place for Sunday brunch in Tampa. They serve their bloody Ella (Mary) with a rib in it - a freaking rib! The chicken and waffles are awesome, their deviled eggs are delish with a splash of siracha, their collards are better than my Meemaw's...I've never had anything here that didn't make me want to... We knew we found a great place to have lunch when we had to hunt for parking. That will probably be the only downside on this review. The building is very trendy, folky with very friendly wait staff. Our wait was about 35 minutes on Sunday around 1:00 pm. We sat outside under the big oak trees in a roomy... More

Great place on the right side of quirky. We loved the live music, thankfully we were seated outside as inside it was very loud. Well stocked bar and a good selection of drinks on tap. we went on soul food Sunday, I recommend you get there early as many items were sold out but we still had some great eats.... More

Been several times, never disappointed. The breakfast of champions drink is really a shot. Be warned! I think a safer bet is the bloody mary, with a tasty rimmed glass, an olive and a rib garnish. The white sangria got seconds from some at our table, too. The cheddar biscuits are enormous. It's so good, you'll be tempted to eat... More

Fun and funky place but not over the top. Diverse menu offering burgers, pizza, salads, and entrees pleasing to carnivores and veggies. Knowledgeable and friendly staff. Wide variety of martinis, beers, wines, etc. Small stage area for musicians. Outside patio. Dining loft. High ceilings and unusual art. Great vibe here and oh btw, food was all great! Had pizza, salads,... More

We visit Ella's whenever we are in Tampa to visit our daughters at USF. We love the atmosphere, especially sitting out on the porch under the trees. The food is excellent with lots of eclectic choices. We especially like Soul Food Sundays, with the best bloody mary's anywhere. The owner is always making rounds, overall a very pleasant place to...
