I have been here 3 times and have sworn Never Again. But there was nowhere else to go on a busy Sunday. Poor service and so-so food. There are too many competitors who are better. Will stay home next time it is a busy Sunday.

Great small place with excellent service. Food was good, dessert was better! They have a bar/lounge that had live entertainment. If I did not have my kids, I would have stayed for a while.
Went to Mockingbird Cafe for a business dinner and was not impressed. The table setting for 8 was crowded and the waiter less than attentive. The menu was limited and the food was just okay. Well - I guess it was okay I had stomach...More
My visit to Mockingbird Cafe was very pleasant overall. They offer gourmet style food for a fraction of the price and the serving sizes are satisfying. Food is definitely made to order...the freshness shows. The only downsides were the size of the venue: small parking...More
We've been to Mockingbird for Sunday brunch many times, but over the past year or so it's really declined. Food was lukewarm, inconsistent among us (some grits had cheese, others didn't) but the real event was seeing a good size cockroach climb up the wall...More

I'm a bit generous with the rating as I really want to like and support local restaurants. That said, the food was better than average (duck was quite delicious), but the service was sorely lacking. Our server was new and untrained - a fault of...More
They have delicious mimosas and their steak and eggs is great! The location and setting may not be the cutest/nicest but the food is so worth it. If its a nice day outside I recommend sitting outside on the patio to eat. They open at...More
Went with friends who had been before. Enjoyed the company, service and music. My friends all had great meals. Try the Duck. I didn't. Instead a had a strip steak. Unfortunately, my steak had a great deal of gristle. However, my wife's was excellent and done...More
If you are looking for a really good brunch place, Mockingbird is well worth it. Lots of great choices and specials. Huevos Rancheros (I almost tried), Omelettes, Chicken Wafles, sandwiches, and my fave, Shrimp and Grits. The Shrimp and Grits were tasty, generous and satisfying....More
