Not a big sweet lover like my husband I tagged along to bakery and discovered their rum cakes. A bit pricey but if it keeps them in business it's worth it. They are fun and delicious. We intended to take back to MN but doubt they will make it.

We took out for lunch our last full day in Siesa Key. The chicken salad sandwich was good, but they were a little slow and when I asked about other German restaurants for dinner in the area, given they close at 3p.m., they seemed annoyed that I would ask.

The outdoor patio is pleasantly removed from the street, a big improvement from their original Village location. It had been two years since I last enjoyed multiple visits for the tasty offerings of A Taste Of Germany. I was disappointed not to find their outstanding schnitzel on the menu any more, or that their awesome rum cakes were no longer... More

My husband and I got take out breakfast from the bakery and it was delicious! He had a blueberry strusel and I got a pretzel and sweet tea. I have been to Germany and the pretzel tasted just like it was from Germany! If you're looking for something sweet and homemade go here!

We were greeted with a friendly smile and it just got better. The portions are nice and food tasted great. The desserts are excellent. Nice seating outside in a small courtyard.

Based on reviews, we were looking forward to trying this place out, but apparently Labor Day is already low season in Siesta Key. Although the restaurant wasn't open there was still somebody in there selling rum cakes (apparently what they're known for). He was a fantastic salesman and before we knew, we both had purchased one. The caramel one is... More

This bakery is hidden away in a strip mall, but don't let that stop you. The pastries, omelets, and sandwiches are delicious, and the coffee is good. Come early for fresh baked goods, as some sell out. The house specialty is vodka cake in a wide variety of flavors -- delicious, with a definite kick. The courtyard seating area is... More

Family run and with a proud tradition. Authentic and don't skip the desserts.. If you have a question, don't hesitate to ask Not a place for serious dieters, because the fare is too good to skip.

Apple strudel was FULL of apples. And the stollen was so good, my husband, who doesn't like it, went back a second day for another one.
