Goichi by far has the best sushi rolls and fresh food. All anatomical cooking. Small dining space but the carry out specials are phenomenal.

Excellent sushi for cheap! Cheapest sushi you'll get in Sarasota. There's only about 5 small tables (their take-out game is strong) and 1 sushi chef, so it can be pretty slow sometimes. But you can't beat the prices for such good, high-quality, fresh sushi. Pay with cash and it will be even cheaper (for both sake and sushi). Each night... More
Don't get me wrong, the sushi here is very, very good but it's the ONLY place you can get such authentic ramen, so for this reason Goichi's stands apart from anywhere else in Sarasota. The menu is extensive but the restaurant is small (read: tiny) and it gets packed so either get there early or order takeout. All of the... More
In an unassuming strip mall on Bee Ridge just east of McIntosh, Goichi sushi is a small restaurant with 4-5 tables that does a brisk take out business. Their sushi menu featured many interesting combinations, including several created by customers. We also had miso (a bit salty) and edamamme (a bit oversteamed), but the sushi was fresh-tasting and we will... More
Goichi never disappoints. My husband and I always take advantage of the $10 cash carryout special. $10 gets you 3 rolls (full to-go box) of sushi. You can also substitute one roll for a salad. Their ginger salad is a great choice. We visit weekly and are consistently pleased with the delicious product they provide us.
How have I never noticed this place before?! Goichi's has to be one of Sarasota's best kept secrets. This hole in the wall, and I mean that in the best sense of the phrase, boasts a sushi menu any other restaurant would be envious of. If you can't find something on the menu, which would be hard to do, they'll... More
We have always enjoyed his tastes and style. Small intimate seats about 12 14 with the bar. Very accommodating and always busy in or out! Try the Zipang sake ! Goes well!
On a Friday after shopping, I took my teenage daughters to get Sushi. We had never tried Goichi, so we stopped by. The restaurant is small, but we got seated quickly. This restaurant can not accommodate a large group. For 2-3 people it's fine. For larger groups, they do offer carry-out. We had several eight piece rolls (Spicy Tuna and... More
