Cauliflower pizza for this GF eater was a real treat. My hubby was game to try and pleased as well! Crust was thin and bendable with nice flavor. Pizza sauce tasty. We did deluxe and meat lovers. Even with all the toppings the crust held up great ( we did eat as soon as we got them so don't know how well they hold up cold or reheated). Delivery was faster than quoted. Only negative: Cauliflower was already a bit pricey and each topping cost more so a 10 inch pizza became a $20 dollar pizza. Gulp.

Fussy Pizza Eaters

We are very particular about the pizza we eat. Sal's was great. The crust was just the right thickness and the add-ons were plentiful. The salads and meatballs were really good as well. Delivery took longer than expected, but it was probably because we order at peak take out time.

The best chicken wings!!

We ordered garlic parm wings and mild wings with blue cheese. They were SO delicious! We plan to go back and try the other items on the menu, which includes all types of pizza's, pasta's, appetizers, wraps, etc. and they also have a kid's menu. We got our order to-go and this was a great experience for us in Sarasota!

stay away from the sauce!

I had heard good things about this place, and not everything was horrible .The salad was incredibly fresh, cold and crunchy. My husband ordered a pizza and it too was good. I do have to say, my husband is Italian , my daughter was born there and I lived there for 20 years. I ordered eggplant parm ( which isn't even Italian) Somehow this came out both mushy AND crunchy. The sauce on my meal and my daughter's pasta was literally inedible. My Sicilian grandmother would turn over in her grave if she tasted how sweet the sauce was. I mean it was so sickening sweet, that I was sure it had to have been made with cup fulls of sugar. This was not "sugo".. I'm honestly not sure if it was a mistake or if they always serve sauce that way. I was so disappointed, especially after paying 72.00 with a tip, and left huge platefuls of food. I will never be back and unfortunately I cannot recommend this place in good faith.

By far the worst tasting Pizza I have ever experienced. Frozen Di Giorno is much better than this Fresh Made Pizza. The dough was old, cheese extermely salty and oily; a sign of very cheap ingredients. I dislike giving a poor review but for all concerned be aware of this establishment.

We ordered a ricotta/spinach and a buffalo chicken pizza on a Tuesday night. Although it was already late, the guy whipped up two delicious pies! We’ve loved reheating the leftovers all week. Everyone raved. We will absolutely order again.

Just like Italy

We ordered on a night that it was raining so we knew it would be a wait since everyone ran off the beach. It was over an hour but they were spot on with their quoted time. They delivered directly to our condo which was super nice. We got one of the white sauce pizzas and it was absolutely delicious, comparable to what I had in Italy. We also got a Stromboli that was great! The sauce had a little zing to it.

Good Food/Surly Service

Stopped in for an evening dinner; The young man behind the counter must have had a bad day as he was surly and angry at every person. We considered leaving but stayed. The stromboli and the hot sub were excellent. The lasagna was good but moderate in its size. The young lady who waited on us went out of her way to try and compensate for the negativity of the fella behind the counter. Lots of places to spend my money - would prefer to feel welcomed !

Delicious - Thin Crust!

This place is amazing! Pizza has a thin crust and was very tasty! The owner is there and used to be a baseball player. He takes time to talk to you if requested. Really nice homey place with the best pizza in the area!

Sals pizza delivery

Ordered Sals pizza one night for delivery. The manager answering the phone and was fairly cavalier and almost rude as if he could care less we called. We were told 45 minutes for delivery and ultimately it took almost 3 hours. And this was on a slow off season night. Pizza was ok but not worth the wait.

Great pizza and baked ziti!

Our pizza was perfect - delicious crisp crust, abundant toppings and served immediately as it came out of the oven. We also had the baked ziti, and it too was very tasty (and a huge portion)! The staff was great and quite friendly and there were TVs so we watched a bit of the football playoffs. It was our first time visiting (we are from CA) but won’t be our last!

Definitely recommend !!

Fast order pickup and delicious, freshly made food; what more can you ask for? The gentleman who took care of me was courteous and friendly. Our order came out right at the time it was expected to and everything was piping hot. Flavors were superb. We had a meat lovers pizza, custom Stromboli, and chicken parm sandwich with fries. The sandwich was HUGE, I could tell the chicken had been hand-breaded, the mozzarella was fresh, and the sauce was made in house with the bread. So freaking good, it was hard to stop even though I was full. The Stromboli was another winner: great balance of the ingredients and the bread was delicious. Definitely recommend the garlic butter too! 10/10 would recommend and dine here again, it's always the best to find a place local!

Excellent New York Pizza

I am from Chicago but wanted to try a different type of pizza. This was a New York style originally out of New Jersey. The owner is actually the cook. Had a cheese, sausage and mushroom pizza. The crust was phenomenal. All the ingredients used were top notch. The pizza wasn't oily or greasy. The staff was really friendly and made you feel like you have been a customer for a long time. I definitely will be back again soon. Thank you, Sal & Dan, for the stories and history.

Ordered 3 pizzas, a calzone, and a Caesar salad. The pizza was cardboard with sauce on it. Undercooked with little flavor. The calzone was very runny and the Caesar was like something you buy at a gas station. We ended up throwing it out and eating leftovers. Waste of money. Go elsewhere.

Horrible!!!

Had to put one star because it didn't allow me to pick 0. While visiting siesta key we looked for a pizza place locally. Found it and had "positive" review. Ordered- was told 1 hour to 1 hour and half. Waited the whole time, to then call an hour and half later to be told it was late. Maybe about 30 more minutes but food was not even in the oven. I asked if it was ready so I can just go get it. However, they were sooo RUDE I was told why don't you just order from somewhere else. There your other is cancelled! Just like that I waited all that time for nothing while we waited and had to find a new place. The worse place and service I have ever encountered. I would NOT recommend this place.
