We had our wedding dinner in Tumerics event space, it provided a beautiful area for an intimate dinner for family and friends. We were able to make the space our own and created a beautiful outdoor atmosphere inside!!! Alex was an integral part our day, he was attentive and so helpful In all aspects!!! He was never but a phone call or text away, no matter the time always answering our needs and providing attention to even the smallest thing. Thank you Alex and your amazing team of professional individuals!!! If anyone needs an event space for anything do not look past this, you won’t regret it!!!!

We LOVE Turmeric. Have been to this restaurant several times and it never disappoints. Tonight my husband and I had a little date night. We always sit at the bar and tonight, Bella was behind the bar. She was phenomenal. We wanted to switch up some of our usual pairings and she made suggestions that hit the spot! Veggie biryani but she suggested we try the South Indian style. We did and were so pleased with it! She also suggested the korma and it was DELICIOUS! My husband had the balti chicken (desi spicy) and he cleaned his plate! We also had the pakora assortment. I had a simple glass of wine but the hubby had the “beat the heat” cocktail. I tried it and we could have sat there drinking them all night. Soooo refreshing! All in all, another great experience! Thank you Bella and Turmeric staff. Yet again, you outdid yourselves. Can’t wait to come back and try the lunch buffet assortment!
Ps. We have always loved the hammered copper pots you serve the dishes in. They’re such an interesting touch.

We’re absolutely delighted to hear how much you LOVE Turmeric! It sounds like you and your husband had the perfect date night with Bella at the bar. She really knows how to nail those food and drink pairings, doesn’t she? The South Indian veggie biryani, korma, and balti chicken (desi spicy, no less!)—all crowd-pleasers! And that “Beat the Heat” cocktail? Definitely a fan favorite!

We visited the restaurance over the weekend. While the ambience was wonderful, I would say the food was over priced and the quantity was substantially low. The food did taste wonderful. The service was kind of ok, but perhaps due to the fact that they were about to close. So no complaints there.

This was our first time trying this new restaurant. They had a nice happy hour from 3:00 to 6:00 with buy one, get one beer and wine. The decor was beautiful and high-end. Service was impeccable and we had some of the best Indian food ever. We were allowed to bring our own cake for birthday celebration and the restaurant even had pre-recorded Happy birthday music! I would definitely recommend Turmeric

We had lunch here on a Saturday. This is a large restaurant in a modern building with some terrace seating outside and lots more seating inside. We chose to sit outside. Indian music played in the background. Both of our vegetarian dishes were delicious. We were able to choose how spicy we wanted each dish and both came out exactly right. Service was excellent from our young server. Beware that the prices here are high. Our main dishes were $19 and $20 including basmati rice. One piece of supermarket naan cost $5 and one small bottle of sparkling water also cost $5. We felt the cost of the naan and water to be excessive. There’s a 15% discount on food items at lunch but not for any drinks. We enjoyed our meal since the Indian food looked and tasted authentic but would probably not return due to overall cost.

We like it that you enjoyed our food and service which is our promise to our guests.
We take your feedback regarding pricing. We are still young and are gathering from all our guests regarding how we can improve. Rest assured that we will do whatever is necessary to make ourselves one of the chosen places for people in our city to visit for a great experience.

Fantastic food, pleasant atmosphere, and outstanding service! My husband and I have limited experience with Indian cuisine. Our server, Peresh V., patiently guided us through the menu making recommendations of flavor combinations and quantity of items to order. The menu has a wide variety of vegetarian options and a creative cocktail list! We enjoyed generously portioned "Small Plates" (Samosas, Gobi Manchurian, Vegetable Pakora), 'Specialties" (Navaratna Korma), "Breads" (garlic naan, stuffed onion kalcha naan), and "Desserts" (Rasmalai Macarons, Kheer). All were delicious and reasonably priced! We'll be back soon to try many other selections!

We read the reviews and thought we would give Turmeric a try for a late lunch. Easy to find, ample off street parking. Friendly staff went out of their way to make us feel welcome. We were a party of four, all long time fans of pan-Indian fare. We opted for the buffet, and that turned out to be a great choice! Lots of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options. All well prepared and seasoned, although significantly milder than most of us were used to. Our favorite was actually a vegetable side dish of cabbage, peas and shredded coconut. Staff were quick to replenish dishes on the buffet line, including individual dessert servings of cakes and cheesecake. Outdoor seating was perfect on a gorgeous Sun Coast day. Servers were attentive and brought hot naan and topped off drinks frequently. Great value as well!

We'd been to an event which resulted in us getting there at 9:15 and, despite the fact the restaurant was empty, were told the kitchen was still open till 9:30- so glad it was-the food was plentiful and delicious. Having been brought up in the UK and a regular consumer of Indian food I've suffered many years of indifferent Indian meals in the US; the spiciness and heat of most restaurant food has not matched up to what I grew up with. Not to say the heat is paramount but the spice blends which produce the dishes I like also produces a hotter tasting meal. We were even asked what heat level we were comfortable with rather than having an either/or selection and were well satified with the results. The Rogan Josh was perfect and the Chat Samosas outstanding, as were the Gobi and the Aloo Paratha.
Thoroughly recomend this as the best Indian food I've had in years.

An authentic Indian Restaurant with a complete menu with many choices. We needed help with menu in interpreting some of the dishes and the waiter was helpful and patient. We had an excellent dinner complete with appetizer, bread and desert. Everything was great, service good and prices about mid range.

What a fantastic meal! We stumbled upon Turmeric by accident and are so glad we did. The food was excellent - we had two delicious cocktails (highly recommend the Royal Sultan!), gobi Manchurian, chicken momos, dosas, lamb tikka masala, and garlic naan, and every dish was really superb - the hard part was choosing from the extensive menu! The naan in particular was perhaps the best I'd ever had. The wait staff was helpful and attentive without hovering, and we had the chance to chat with Bharat Sharma, the proprietor, who was delightful and so courteous both to us and the other guests with whom we saw him interact; his attention to every detail was apparent. Turmeric is conveniently located in downtown Sarasota and even has its own parking in the back. We're from out of town but get to Sarasota occasionally and will absolutely return to Turmeric the next time we're here. We couldn't recommend it more highly!

this was our first visit but certainly not the last. Being new to Indian food, we asked Sonja, our bartender for suggestions and she did a fabulous job guiding us through the extensive menu. They offer very generous Happy Hour drinks and food selections. We will return!

I went on a Sunday specifically for the buffet and I was impressed. The staff consciously refilled the buffet and the food was very good. They offered a range of vegetarian to chicken Marsala ( my favorite)… the wait staff were warm and welcoming. The restaurant has a modern vibe and is very clean…Indian music played in the background. I was alone and very comfortable being alone….the price for the brunch was very reasonable and I enjoyed a glass of wine…. I’d definitely return…Enjoy!

Turmeric is one of the best, if not the best Indian restaurant, we have eaten in. We have been eating Indian cuisine for over 45 years. It is one of our favorites. The restaurant is airy with high ceilings. There is plenty of seating, both tables, booths and a lovely outside patio. We were seated promptly. There is a large waiting staff that is not only very attentive, but also helpful in providing descriptions of the many different choices available. The menu has one of the the largest choice selections we have seen. The portions were generous and delicious. The staff was attentive during the meal filling water glasses frequently and refreshing beverages. The managing staff was also very visible and circulated among all the tables to check that everything was good. We are looking forward to eating there often and wish them the best of luck!

What a great experience! Bella our server was very knowledgeable and helpful as we were not too associated with Indian food! So delicious!!!! No wonder it is rated #2 in Sarasota! I always google the best and this certainly was one of them! Top notch everything. Very relaxing and not rushed. Thank you! Also management came over to ask how everything was. Keep up the great place!! Ask for Bella. She is an excellent server!
