We recently had dinner at this cool, comfy, eclectic restaurant in Towles Court area. I loved our dining experience which was enhanced by the excellent service by Kevin our dynamic knowledgeable server. Amazing wonderful specials to choose from, so many wonderful choices that I had to throw the dice to pick. My husband had the Cobia fish special which was... More

I had two very nice starters. The Shrimp Louie Salad was a clean tasting. crunchy mix off small shrimp, green beans, red cabbage and bacon with a light, nicely spiced dressing. I followed that healthy dish with a deliciously decadent BBQ pork belly on a small cake of corn pudding with a charred onion relish. I had a really delicious,... More

I am so irritated by the negative reviews! If you want to have a plain hambutger your way, go to Burger King; if you need a huge and ordinary menu, then go to a family restaurant; if you want to dictate all the ingredients, then go to a diner with a short order cook! This chef SPECIALIZES in making very... More

We were invited to Sarasota for dinner with friends and we're looking forward to a great evening. We should have known when I asked for a vodka and coke as my pre-dinner drink to be told sorry we only do beer and wines of the evening ahead! The appetizer we had of mushroom bisque (soup with a fancy name) was... More

Really cool renovated older house in funky area. Outside patio dining is great and check out the small bar at the back. Very good fish and seafood dishes. Can't go wrong taking a special someone to this place

My wife and I celebrated our wedding anniversary at our favorite Sarasota restaurant and once again we weren't disappointed. It's a great farm to fork type restaurant and the food is not only local and fresh, but it's remarkable. The setting is like a country in with various rooms and a wrap around porch. It reminds us of some of... More

This restaurant's website states "Indigenous has helped to put Sarasota, Fla., boldly on the map as a wonderful city in which to live, visit and dine." High praise indeed, and largely unearned in my visit. The menu at Indigenous is very limited. The website strongly implies that this is due to the local sourcing of the freshest ingredients and the... More

My wife and I had dinner at Indigenous and elected to sit inside versus outside on the porch. The Smoked Cobia appetizer was out of this world, and both our dinner entrees were delicious and beautifully plated. We can't wait to go back.

The only reason we found this restaurant was because we were doing the monthly art walk at Towles Court. Luckily we were able to get a table without a reservation, just good timing because it was fully booked for the rest of the evening. I had a beignet that was both sweet and salty with parmesan cheese and apples in... More
