When were on vacation we like to try excellent neapolitan pizza restaurants. Bavaro's did not disappoint.
It was a nice day when we visited, so we ended up sitting out front. This provided a nice atmosphere while we enjoyed our meal.
I had a salad with grilled chicken. The salad was very nicely made with fresh ingredients and a nice house-made dressing. My wife had the neapolitan pizza. The pizza was very good. It had a very nice light crust, a plain well-made sauce, and fresh cheese. Although the pizza was a little small at only 6 inches, it was fine for a lunch sized serving. You can also get 12-inch pizzas, which would serve more people.
There is a fair amount of diagonal street parking in the area. You should be able to find nearby parking most times.
If you are looking for a great place for pizza and salads, Bavaro's is an excellent choice.

We came here for a date night and sat outside. There was live music, great service from Jacque and the food was delicious. The Vodka Pasta was our favorite and everything was fresh and beautiful. Thanks Jacque for a great experience and for being so kind!

This was our first time dining at Bavaro’s. We had an excellent time. Good food and great service. Crystal, our server, was very knowledgeable and explained menu items and recommended a wine. Great place for a date night. We will definitely be back soon.

Jacque always is professional and friendly and so warm. We always look forward to seeing her. Our experience has always been on point with Jacque. She has a masterful command of the dining room and patio…always anticipating needs and making sure clients are well taken care of. Another great evening in the books!

First of all, pizza is the best!!! We customized ours…so two could split it. Loved the wood fired crust and I am very picky about that. The others at the table were happy with their orders.
It was a fun atmosphere. Three family birthday celebrations were going on in the restaurant. The staff made it feel celebratory with free Nutella dessert pizzas with a sparkler. They cut it in 6 slices.
Another table brought a cake and the server helped to dish it up for everyone.
Our server was fun and friendly and very helpful. Hope we get Marirose again when we go back!!

My family and i went to eat at Bavaros for dinner and Dalia was our waitress, when i tell you i had the best experience i mean it. She made sure we knew about the specials, helped us chose exactly what wine we were looking for and made sure our meals came out perfectly. We will definitely be back and ask for Dalia. Highly recommend!

Service was non attentive had to get up and ask for what we needed. Food was ok. Loud clanging of dishes. No sound goes unheard here. Waitress delivered food and that was it didn’t come back. Food advertised as panini was 2 meatballs on a folded circle of pizza dough.

Absolutely wonderful. We sat at the bar and Kelsey was our server. She was amazing. Kelsey was so engaging, she made us feel at home. When we asked for recommendations, Kelsey raves about everything and was also willing to let us know her favorites. The penne ala vodka is the best, Kelsey suggested meatballs on the side and it was the best suggestion. Watching Kelsey interact with other guest as well as the rest of the staff it was obvious she was a genuinely nice person. Kelsey we will be back, make room for us at the bar.

I love this place from the pasta to the bruschetta but what keeps me coming back is the buffalo mozzarella upgrade on the pizza. Being Casein intolerant and addicted to pizza is a rough combination so I mostly make pies at home with goat or sheep milk cheeses. Bavaro's saves the day for me with the buffula mozz upgrade. That and a Peroni draft makes me do a lil happy food dance everytime. Also have to give a shout out to the service, specifically Jacque, who is the ideal server to me; she is calm, kind and authentic. She even fought with the kitchen to deliver my special buffulo-cheese-only pie during the great supply chain cheese shortage on 2021. Thanks again Jacque and Bavaro's. I'll be a regular as long as I'm in St Pete.

The food is so fresh and prepared just for you. They are happy to make adjustments for any dietary needs and make great recommendations. We have had great experiences every time we went. Jacque is an amazing server and definitely someone to seek out if you go.

This restaurant is five stars, any rating below that is because the diner lacks education! The pizza here is DOC, made with legitimate italian ingredients following century old discipline. I'm from Boston and my parents of from Italy (Dad - Napoli) and I have been going to Italy since I was a little guy. The Pizza at Bavarro's is identical to neoplitan pizza in the piazza of Napoli. The sauce is light and sweet, the dough airy and fluffy with a leopard charing and the buffala mozzarella is perfect! I can't say enough good things to my first visit to Bavaro's! I'll be back next time I'm in St Pete's for business.

Fun spot, live music, great menu, amazing food and fabulous service. Jacque was our server and she made some recommendations that we loved. We did the cheese ravioli with a vodka sauce. Also did the burrata Liza and Jacque brought us a little balsamic glaze which was a nice complement to the pizza. Great experience and can’t wait to go back.

Loved every moment of St.Pete’s…our Airbnb host recommended Bavaro’s for dinner. Even though we just got “pie” it was delicious with top quality ingredients and our server, Jacque (lyn) was on point. She made fantastic recommendations for beverages (Cruz) …fig beer…got to try it to believe how good it is, to the pizza and followed by dessert!!! Authentic cannolis!!!). We will definitely be back at only to St. Pete’s but, Bavaros!

We decided we wanted pizza for dinner last night and this restaurant had the best TA reviews for an Italian restaurant so we made a reservation online.
Luckily we found a parking space just outside and then requested a table inside as it was a little chilly outside. The restaurant isn’t huge inside and has an open kitchen, bar and pizza oven area.
There’s a limited pizza choice but you could add extras so that was fine. It has a wood fired oven so we were really looking forward to an authentic pizza (we lived in Italy for 3 years so know what a great pizza is like!).
The meal didn’t start well as our server just took our pizza order and walked off without asking about drinks and then we found it hard to get her attention as she started working behind the bar. So unfortunately we only got our drinks as our pizza was arriving.
The pizzas looked great with the tell tale black spots on the crust which comes from the wood fired process. The toppings were good and tasty but the pizza dough and the way it had been cooked was poor and not authentic. Not sure how they had managed to cook it with black spots on the crust and have zero crispness - the dough hadn’t really been cooked through at all. So we ate the middle parts and left most of the crust.
We had only come for a pizza so declined dessert and asked for the check. Took much too long to have our credit card put through the machine so left even more frustrated.
I’ve given around 1000 5* reviews on TA unfortunately this isn’t one of them

Stopped at Bavaro's for a takeaway late lunch. The atmosphere of the restaurant is nice and we found the staff who we interacted with to be both friendly and helpful.
Our order consisted of the 12" Americano pizza ($17.00) and an Italian chop salad ($16.00). Disappointingly the food was only average in taste; I expected better. I'd give Bavaro's another chance hoping it was just an off day since there are some good reviews but we didn't have such luck.
