Great bloody marys. Excellent clam chowder, lots of variety on menu and nice daily specials. Felt it was a bit pricey, grouper sandwich was $16.99. But food was fresh and hot and the view is amazing.

A great place to have a drink and admire the bay outside on the upper terrace! We ordered the hummus platter and it was just ok! Service was great and the ambiance was perfect for an afternoon drink!

A1A is a staple among the many-many fine restaurants in downtown St. Augustine. Always consistently good, it has a diverse and interesting menu, typically knowledgeable and efficient staff and an extremely convenient location! The downstairs bar can be fun (though typically crowded) and the upstairs outside balcony offers a great view of downtown and the bay. The on-site brews can... More

We chose this place based on recommendation from visitor center--here or Harry's to sit outside see views of bay. Liked this menu so decided go here. Views not that great--very short balcony. Had to wait for view--could be seated immediately if ate inside. We waited for view. My grilled snapper very good. Mashed potatoes needed salt but glad they let... More

We went to ale works twice during our visit to the area. The first visit was great. Our second time was horrible. The waitress was so bad. Took forever to bring drinks, take our order and she even brought us the wrong bill with another patrons credit card in it! The food on our first visit was so much better... More

I came here to try some of there beers but I found out that they stopped brewing in Dec but still had a good selection of beer from craft breweries in Florida. I ordered the red snapper which came topped with a mango salsa & a side of roasted vegetables & mash potatoes.  The snapper was cooked perfectly had a... More

We were told that the food is great here but we didn't get a chance to eat here. We had drinks but can't wait to go back to hit this spot for food. Bartender very friendly!

Have eaten here over 4 times and every time the food and service was terrible. I keep returning because of the view of the water on the Bayfront, however, every dish always has an issue. Just recently it was my boyfriend's birthday so he wanted to go here for lunch. It started when he almost swallowed a piece of glass... More

We enjoyed this so much, we wished we had eaten dinner there. We stopped in for a beer and one order of nachos (these were huge and filled three of us up, of which two are big eaters)! They said the owner of the building wouldn't allow the brewery when they resigned their lease. I hate small town politics. We... More
