I had picked up a friend in ft Myers airport, heading back to Sarasota. We stopped for lunch here by chance, also cause of your sign that said "Sorry, we're open!" Anyway the food was great. I had the Rueben pastie, (real corned beef, not cold cuts) my friend had bangers (sausage) and mash. Soda bread was so delicious that... More

my wife and I have been to the Celtic Ray many times. I usually get the fish and chips because it is consistently great. Tonight I tried the Ruben pasty. I may have just found another favorite--- what a great taste. I agree with the bearded bar tender, I will have it again and again. The best Guinness outside St.... More

We met relatives for lunch (we from Naples; they from Sarasota) and decided to try this pub, rather than continuing to Fisherman's Village. So glad we did. Great atmosphere and decorations; real pub experience - place your order at the bar; great - delicious - pub food : pasties, bangers and mash, etc. Prices listed include tax, so just add... More

Went there with 5 friends while staying in Punta Gorda. Local IPA drafts were 7 bucks each, A little pricey from where I come from but its Vacation so had a few. However to order food and drinks there were no waitresses. We had to place the order with the bartender, each time and then pick it up. The bright... More

It has been years since I ordered the fish and chips that I keep hearing are so good. I usually do not order fish and chips unless I can get Haddock instead of Cod. I really enjoyed the fish that comes in two sizes. I wished I had ordered the larger plate since it was so good. There are some... More

Be sure to be thirsty and hungry when visiting Ray's. The atmosphere, drink, and food are amazingly authentic. Except it is in sunny warm Southwest Florida. You order food and drink at the bar just like pubs in Ireland or Scotland. Dishes like bangers and mash are just like Mom made. Kids are welcome, but there isn't much of a... More

Description
FAILTE! [WELCOME!]

The Celtic Ray Public House in downtown Punta Gorda opened in 1997 by Proprietor Kevin Doyle. At the time there wasn’t a single establishment in the area that offered a variety of quality imported beers and the atmosphere of a traditional Irish Pub. We serve only high-quality imported draught beers, bottled beers, ciders, fine wines, as well as, a selection of “soft” beverages. We also have expanded with the ‘other side’ and now have a full liquor bar! Our menu features traditional Irish Pub favorites made from fresh ingredients and family recipes.

The Celtic Ray’s Fish & Chips are famous worldwide!
See you at the Ray, Slainte!
