My girlfriend and I went here last week. I was hoping to check some bourbons off my bucket list and grab a bite to eat. The bar and restaurant areas are small to medium sized, but comfortable. It has kind of a purposely dive bar feel (think dive bar without the grime, wear, and tear). They had a good bourbon list. There were certainly bottles that you can't get all the time in a liquor store, but nothing that I thought that I absolutely had to try right then because I may not see it again (think Pappy). I ended up not getting bourbon as I felt the price per pour was a bit high even compared to Polite Pig at Disney Springs. The menu price may have been less at The Whiskey, but they weren't doing 2oz pours. Instead I had a decent draft IPA and my girlfriend got a mix drink that she enjoyed a lot. We then ordered food. We shared their wagyu burger (The Royale) and some wings. They were willing to split an order of wings, tossing them into two different sauces accommodating my GF not liking hot wings. The wings came out first and were super fresh, hot, and delicious. These were some of the best wings that I've had, period. Both the Buffalo sauce and the BBQ were great. The burger came next. I can't say if it was truly wagyu beef as the price seemed a little low for wagyu, but like the wings it was one of the best burgers I've had. They brought it to us cut in half. It was cooked perfectly, with juices visibly soaking into the bottom bun and onto the plate. As I took my first bite, my girlfriend was waiting for a side of BBQ sauce since she had enjoyed it on the wings. I looked to her and told her to try it now and not wait. It was just that good. After trying it, she agreed that it didn't need any sauce. Thanks for a great lunch! I'm sure we will be back again when we're in area.

Staying in the area and did some research to see if I could find the best burger in Orlando, and I have to say this place comes right at the top of the list. We try to eat different burgers every day while on vacation and this place was so good we came back for a second time in the week! I got the Lassahn burger (with cheese and bacon) and it was served perfectly medium as requested both times. The burger meat was amazingly soft and juicy with a lovely charred taste on the outside. Plenty of cheese and bacon, and served in a really soft fresh brioche bun. A complete pleasure to eat. During the week between 4 and 7pm they have an extra happy hour menu and my wife got the smaller version of the Lassahn burger which was equally as nice. Both come with fries as standard and if you're looking for a smaller burger then this is really great value. The fries are also really really good. Battered and perfectly crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Rare to get good fries in the US as they are normally very boring but not here! The service on both visits was also very good, and really nice to see individual bottles of hand sanitizer on each table. Highly highly recommend the burgers here and this will become a place we visit each year when we visit Orlando in future.

Our party of three adults enjoyed burgers and adult beverages at this friendly establishment in Orlando. Burgers are delightful. Truffle fries are delicious. They have Impossible Burgers for the veggie crowd . Beers on tap and talented bartenders. We arrived at 6 pm (Friday) and the place was packed. Waiting line upon our departure around 7:30 pm. live music late evening. Located in shopping center with ample parking (sans peak hours). Good pricing and value.

The burgers were decent, but just a burger. Not a extraordinary burger. Only plain fries or chips are the sides and any other side Including a house salad substitute is $3.25 upgrade fee. A side of ranch is 50 cents. A soda is $3.75 and good luck getting a refill. The burgers are all above $15 with most being about $18. We arrived right at noon when they opened. Our food took over a hour to come. Others in the restaurant come after us and recieved their food and checks before us. We were a party of 8 so we gave a little patience for that, but when multiple tables were getting food before us and done before ours even came got annoying. We had a plane to catch and thought going right at noon wound be no problem to be done by 130. We were wrong. Their is a blonde short haired waitress who is extremely rude. Like she genuinely hates her job and it shows. The young brunette was very friendly but overwhelmed trying to wait on the whole place. The blonde is the reason this review is coming out. I don’t typically review places but she was extra rude and the food was expensive and quite slow. The place itself isn’t bad but our service that day was terrible. We don’t blame the brunette and don’t understand why it was so slow. The prices might be the going rate for the area, but we thought it was over the top.

The Whiskey is a non-smoking establishment, except for a few tables right in front of the restaurant, which you have to walk through to get inside. Suggestion: put the smoking tables a little off center, away from the front entrance. Aside from having to walk through the folks smoking, as well as the clouds of smoke, we could smell the smoke well beyond the immediate entrance. We sat at the bar, our preference, and were met by our bartender almost immediately. I ordered a Grey Goose Martini but was quickly told, after she took my order, that they had “run out of Grey Goose”. Sounds like a problem for the F&B Manager. I opted for a Kettle One and my companion ordered a Hendrick’s Martini. We were asked if we preferred olives, or a twist. A few moments later the “sampler” Martinis arrived. I did not measure the amount in the modest martini coup but it could not have been any more than a 3 ounce martini. (See photo). The Hendrick’s Martini was $12 while my Kettle One was a “Happy Hour” drink at $6. A few seats down from us another Martini was delivered, which aside from arriving in the traditional martini glass, was a full 6 ounces, at least. When I asked why the difference in sizes I was told it was a “very dirty Martini”, and the difference was made up of the olive juice. Doubtful. As we studied the menu and watched the line cooks, we noted that the burgers were “flying out of the kitchen”. Pricey burgers, and again, meager portions. Accompanying the $18 and $22 Bison burgers was an anemic portion of fries, onions and toppings on the burger. We ordered the “Banging Shrimp” which, surprisingly was a generous appetizer portion, but found the shrimp underdone. The flavor was there, just not the appropriate doneness. It’s too bad. We were hoping for a better experience based on the menu which looked exciting, different, and adventurous. They offered a “Camel burger” and I can only shudder at what they would been liked once served. Nope, I’d say pass on by The Whiskey, the smoke screen entrance, and the sampler size martinis. Plenty of dining here in Orlando. The Whiskey isn’t just one of them.

Not clean, nasty smell upon entering (like mildew/dirty rags), terrible food, server did not care about the dissatisfaction with the food; this sums up my visit! Based upon many reviews I read prior to going, I thought this would be a good local place. I was very wrong. First impressions upon entering a restaurant are very important and this restaurant got an F rating for that category. After being seated, my boyfriend and I watched the cook who was visible to anyone in the restaurant. I could clearly see that she was pulling all of the “food” out of frozen bags. After watching how poor the quality of the food appeared and the gross smell and atmosphere, I was only willing to order something safe- truffle fries. My boyfriend ordered a burger and fries. The fries were disgusting- they were very clearly frozen with no flavor. They are certainly not making anything fresh here. My boyfriend’s burger was bland and I can only image how low of quality that meat must have been. When I told the server I didn’t like the fries and that they were clearly frozen she simply said “well I can take them” and threw them out, not offering anything more. Wow! That’s great service…Please know that people do not go to restaurants to have frozen food. McDonald’s would have been better and I do not eat fast food. A good tip for the manager and owner- watch Restaurant Impossible. You will very likely learn a few things.

The restaurant/bar hides in the strip mall by Vines and the old Moonfish restaurants off Sand Lake Drive.. It has the best Hamburger I have had in a long while. Also the Beef Brisket sandwich was very good. Good quality for a little higher price but it delivers. Salads were made to order and everything coming out of the kitchen was prepared fresh. Give it a try if in the area. Looks like they may have some live entertainment in the evening. Opens at Noon- Midnight I believe. Also a few outside tables that seat 2 or 3 at each table as well. Multiple different types of burgers and they also have gluten free buns as well if desired. 1st time stop for me but I will be back next time I am in the area!!

The food was excellent, we went during happy hour so we had some whiskey and an appetizer for a great price. The burger was outstanding, many places claim a good burger and fail but this one delivers. My only suggestion is with all this handmade delicious food make your own fries, cut them and fry them as those battered ones aren’t my favorite!

I’ve been wanting to eat here for quite a while. We were not disappointed and Kelli was amazing. All her suggestions were spot on from my husband’s camel burger (probably the best of the lot) to my pear burger which was absolutely delicious. Can’t wait to go back!

Walking into The Whiskey, you automatically see how well it is themed to the namesake. There are Jack Daniel's barrels integrated to be functional, not just for aesthetics. There are pictures of Johnny Cash (and others), guitars, a quote from Mark Twain all on the walls. The food. The food is SO good! The perfect crumb on the fried pickles, clearly fresh pickles as they still had a crunch to them. The burgers are what they are known for and for good reason. Our family had the All-American, the Salty Pear and the Southerner. The All-America is exactly the way it sounds, no nonsense, nothing fancy on your burger. The other two though were explosions of flavor in your mouth. Just enough sauce, which so many places can't seem to get right, down to the slice of pear or amount of onions that were perfection. I recommend the onion rings as well. The reason for the 4 and not the 5 was that the two working (not I clouding the kitchen staff as they seemed fully staffed) were clearing more of a attended than a waitress. I ran out of my drink without someone around to fill it yet I still had a decent portion of my meal left to eat. When at the table they were great but to track her down was a challenge. I do think that it might have been busier than planned for a 2pm on a Sunday and the schedule didn't prepare for something like that.

Where to go in Orlando for the best burgers? VisitOrlando’s website recommended THE WHISKEY, a small eatery and music venue on “restaurant row” on West Sand Lake Rd. and on the non-touristy side of Interstate 4, as having been “voted the best burger in Orlando by several sources”. So, we visited on Tuesday October 29, 2024, for dinner without a reservation. We were quickly seated at the bar and while it took a little while for our drinks order to be taken, service was good despite the staff being busy. From our vantage point, we could see the food being prepared and grilled in the open kitchen, and we were impressed that the smells weren’t permeating into thebar and restaurant. The Whiskey had no paper menus, instead a QR code on the bar brought the extensive food and drinks menu up on our phone. We ordered: 🍤 Bangin Shrimp (Happy Hour menu) = $10.00 🍔 The All American burger = $19.00 🍔 The Black n’ Bleu burger = $20.00 🧅 Whiskey Onion Rings = $8.50 🍺 Shock Top (14 oz) = $22.50 😢 Tax = $5.20 💰 Total = $85.20 👍 Gratuity = $20.00 The appetizer arrived within minutes of our order. The Bangin’ Shrimp didn’t last long. The shrimps were fried and drizzled with sweet and spicy sriracha aioli, and very enjoyable. The All American burger consisted of: House patty, arugula, tomato and sliced onion, sliced pickles, American Cheese, and American Special Sauce. The Black n’ Bleu consisted of: House patty seasoned in blackened seasoning, arugula, tomato, Whiskey onions, smoked applewood bacon, and chunky smoked blue cheese sauce. The side of Whiskey Onion rings were clearly freshly made and had a crunchy, tasty batter. The onions inside were perfectly cooked. We drank Shock Top ale but The Whiskey, as the name might suggest, had an extensive, no, huge choice of whiskeys and bourbons on offer (which we didn’t sample). The online drinks menu took an age alone to scroll through! Both burgers came with 8 oz of House Fries, which were battered and quite unique. They had a good flavor, as did the burgers, however we didn’t find them to best we’d ever had. In fact, they were a little undercooked as we had requested them to be “well done.” This wasn’t an issue and didn’t spoil the meal, however. The Whiskey is a small restaurant and all of the tables were occupied with diners; it had an atmosphere to match and we found it to be live and loudly. Our visit lasted 90 minutes and we left full and content with our meal but not quite convinced that they were the best Orlando had to offer.

We visited here for the first time last year when we were in Orlando and we were very impressed with the burgers so decided to come back this year for more. Just as we remembered, the burger was amazing! Perfectly medium and pink inside as requested. Very juicy and soft inside with a lovely grilled blackened outside with a great flavour. The fries are really nice too. Battered so have a lovely crispy outside but still soft inside. I also got the 'seasonal veg' which was carrots which were really nice. Great flavour and cooked in a lovely sauce (not sure what it was but it was black like soy sauce and tasted very good) Service was also very good just like we remembered. Will definitely be back next time we're in the area.

I wish I could rate this restaurant but I was never able to order. I called earlier in the day to confirm the restaurant allowed take out/pick up and they said yes. When I called back to make my order I was placed on hold for almost ten minutes before I hung up. I tried to call again. This time it rang non stop for almost three minutes. One more attempt yielded the same. I hung up and ordered from somewhere else. If you did not want to do a take out order, I wish you would have said that at the beginning and saved me 15 minutes of on hold/calling.
