We were staying off site and booked here. We arrived on time but there was a delay of about 30 minutes which we though unusual for a reservation. The service was very good. The food needed more flavor as it was a little flat. The sister hotel at Animal Kingdom had the better choice of restaurants. Modest overall. better alternative... More

We decide to eat here as we were staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge and had the Disney Dining Plan allowing us to try this Signature Restaurant, we booked this six months in advance and when we arrived we asked for a window table which they accommodated with a friendly happy attitude. Our server was pleasant and recommended things from the... More

We went in with great expectations. We left never wanting to go back. We have all eaten at most of the restaurants at WDW (minus Victoria and Albert's). Both filets ordered (10 oz and 7 oz) were medium and came out basically rare. It was pretty much moo-ing at the table. The waiter forgot to bring a salad out as... More

Attended an afternoon wine tasting at Jiko (before the restaurant opened). The sommelier who lead the class seemed a bit unorganized and constantly mentioned that she had to come in early to lead the wine tasting. When she mentioned that she considered a 15% tip and insult that topped it for us, we will never go there.

This was my first visit to Jiko. I have stayed at Animal Kingdom Lodge before, but never got around to going. The interior of the restaurant is very nice and has been decoarated to a very high standard. I started with the Taste of Africa which is African Inspired Dips with papadums, roosterkoek and flax seed naan. This was enjoyable... More

This was our third time at Jiko and I am disappointed to say that it will likely be our last. As DVC members we are frequent visitors to WDW and we like the dining selection at the Animal Kingdom resort. On arrival we were told that the restaurant was running about 20 minutes behind schedule for our 7:50pm reservation with... More

A return visit for dinner at Jiko didn't disappoint! This is a must for those staying at Animal Kingdom Lodge, or even just visiting the Disney parks. The service was impeccable and our server was knowledgeable about the wine list and menu, even offering some wine tastings to narrow down our final selection. Our entrees, braised short ribs and scallops,... More

We absolutely loved our anniversary dinner at JIKO. The African cuisine, staff and ambience was amazing. Tim our waiter was extremely helpful, personable & knowledgeable. The booboti rolls, elk loin & short ribs were delicious!
