They have a great variety of healthy bread baked on the premises. The best tasting almond horns that I've ever had! It is small inside, but in this case size doesn't matter.

When you walk inside there is only room for about four people and even that seems crowded. There is a nice variety of breads and cakes. It is housed in an adorable gingerbread looking house. Tasty but I don't think I would go out of my way to come here.

It's a cute little Alpine looking house on busy Commercial Blvd. Inside its tiny and if other customers are inside its hard to move or even turn around! However they have authentic German breads and treats. My favorite bread is the Bavarian Rye. They are happy to sell it while or slice it for you. I love coming here around... More

This place is just okay. It's definitely a bit of a dive, and the sign outside makes it look SO fun and delicious, but once you get in there, they have just a few selections of bread, that frankly aren't that great. Bit of a disappointment.

Driven across town twice to get some fresh German rolls. First it was closed then I was told they only make rolls on Friday. I was however offered frozen ones. Not going back.

Having lived the last 3 years in between Bonn and Brussels got used to the very good bread. Family has been living in Frankfurt for the past 33 years so German bread among other goodies became part of my daily life. Tried the German Bread Haus and bread is definitely quite good but 9.99 dollars for a loaf of bread... More

Simply the best bread around. Great variety of bread with grains seeds ,nuts. Loaded with all that is good.cookies, strudels other sweets are all terrific. A must stop at this tiny tiny family place . Like stopping at grandmas. Bread is $5 and up for a loaf but well worth it. Different breads are made on different days.

My husband is German so his standards for bread and baked goods are pretty high! The bread here is absolutely wonderful. Our favorite is the Bauern brot with its double baked crust. They make a traditional stollen for the holidays that is outstanding, as is their strudel and almond horns.

This is a surprising little bakery on busy Oakland Park. One look at the outside of this adorable gingerbread house and you become a kid again! It makes one think of fairy tales and your mouth will water for something sweet to eat! Once inside you may meet the animated owner who (if you have kids) may give you a... More
