We pulled up at 8:30pm (they are advertised open until 10:00pm), they watched us pull up, and came out and turned the open sign off as we were getting out of the car. We came inside and they very rudely told us they were closed....More

I love this place. Dined here 3 times during our 12 day stay on the island. The staff are so welcoming and friendly. It’s really casual and has a great island feel. The pork fajitas are so moist and tasty, as are the margaritas!

Was visiting family that was vacationing on Captiva. We went to dinner on Cinco De Mayo. We wanted to sit outside. The pic-nic tables were very uncomfortable though the atmosphere was wonderful. Unfortunately the food was average. My husband and I ordered the enchilada trio,...More

Small Mexican restaurant on Captiva Island, Florida, and they served quite possibly the best steak fajitas I have ever had with a yummy frozen margarita! Fairly good sized portions. Outdoor eating space. Family atmosphere. Will definitely be back!!

Our whole family loves this restaurant. It starts with a great homemade salsa and chips. So many incredible great things: chili reneo, enchiladas, and don't forget great rice, beans. Don't forget great gaucomole. Our favorite Marguerite's.

Food was not fresh, and when on an island surrounded by fresh fish you would expect the seafood fajitas to be fresh. The fajitas pictured only came with three small soft tortillas the size of my hand and when I asked for a fourth tortilla...More

Delicious food, good atmosphere. Service was impressive and with humour - very quick to both take orders (almost too quick) and to give us our food. Consideration given to our children’s needs. Lovely meal. Loved guacamole. All 5 of us loved our meals.

Worst. Service. Ever. Unbelievable - once we were finally seated, took over 25 mins to take our order! Not busy either.

My wife and I came for dinner. Hostess was disorganized in taking names and seating waiting parties. Having made it to the front of the line, we were told inexplicably that she could not seat parties of two, which I took as her way to...More

Description
Enjoy a spicy and unique atmosphere while savoring the fine Mexican and Southwestern cuisine at Cantina Captiva. Try our homemade guacamole - “The green stuff!” It's made fresh daily. Served with a side of pico de gallo, and warm corn tortilla chips or perhaps you prefer something a little spicier? We've got you covered with our stuffed cheese jalapeno poppers served with a side of fiesta ranch dressing. Looking for a salad to suit your fancy? Choose a taco salad or a fajita salad with your choice of chicken breast, steak or shrimp on top of crisp lettuce topped with lots of goodies. Of course, we have the traditional Mexican food favorites like fajitas, enchiladas, tacos, and burritos. Feeling more non-traditional? Choose our chef's favorites - Shrimp Diablo – Gulf Shrimp sautéed with our chef’s secret chipotle marinade, or Tequila-Lime Shrimp. Complement your meal with a choice of imported or domestic beers or perhaps an icily refreshing margarita!
