Driving down the keys and made a stop at a local BBQ pit. The place has outdoor and indoor seating. The staff is very helpful and friendly. They are known for their gator bites and frog legs. We tried the gator bites, which taste just like chicken. Also had the baby back ribs with sweet plantains. The meal came quick... More

Seated outdoors...BBQ chicken good but had to add BBQ...not cooked in it. Felt it cost a bit more than I thought. Waitress asked for drivers license with credit card...weird?

Been wanting to go to this place a long time, but never made until recently. I had the pulled pork sandwich. It was pretty good maybe not the best I ever had. I also had one on the cob. It was good also. Service was okay. The food didn't knock my socks off. I'd go again if I'm out that... More

Wanted to eat gator with family visiting from Europe after our airboat ride. Gator tidbits and ribs were both tasty. The hat was closed so no craft beer. Wouldn't allow us to drink from our water bottles at the outdoor table. Service and food was 4.5.

Was in the mood for BBQ, but wanted something different, outdoorsy with a real BBQ place feel, so I decided to go to The Pit. The place has a huge outdoor tiki and nice wooden picnic tables so you can enjoy the outdoors on good weather days. I'll start with the server who was less than amicable. He either had... More

From the west coast not the land of the very best barbecue and we had just left the Everglades on our way to Miami and our friend who is local said this is where we stop for lunch, not the best but very good. Had the pulled pork sandwich with coleslaw and beans with the house sauce and it was... More

Been eating there for 20 years. The old owners were great, best rib bits ever and they had good all around Q. The new owners, smaller portions, higher prices,

Love coming here; a bit of old Florida with uniquely diverse South Florida; from Gator & Frog Legs to frijoles. Very family friendly place.
