Excellent Cuban food and great hospitality. I was there everyday and the consistency of food and service just makes it even more appealing to return for more. It is a simple café but every staff in there just makes you feel like home. There are...More

I get the feeling that this place is somewhat of an institution, as both before and during our trip to Miami, numerous people (both locals and fellow travellers) recommended we visit. From the moment you walk through the door, you immediately get the feeling that...More

We were driving by David's and said this place looks authentic and interesting, lets try it! We came for a quick-bite and coffee on our way to the airport. The Cafe con Leche coffee was OUT OF THIS WORLD! It was the most delicious, smooth,...More

Small place, friendly atmosphere, authentic no frills Cuban breakfast with lots of traditional American options too. Sammy- waiter with personality! It was worth the 2 mile walk from South Beach!

A real tale of two very different experiences here... We had brunch here on our first day in Miami, I had the roast chicken with plantains which comes with a rice and beans side. The food was excellent and we were served by who I...More

The service was terrible! Beyond bad, to the point it was comical. The food was low quality. Only thing that was good was the empanadas. Better empanadas across the street. I honestly do not know how they stay in business! So many great places close...More

Especially if the spot requires I tiny shot of Cuban goodness. We always make an effort to stop by for cortaditos, orange juice and empanadas for later. I know you can get that stuff all over Miami, but it just feels right at David's. I...More

We had an excellent breakfast at David's Cafe Cafecito. I particularly liked my breakfast burrito to which I asked that turkey sausage be added/ My wife's Cuban breakfast was good, but not so good as my burrito.

Nearly a year after closing its Collins Avenue location, the iconic 40-year-old Cuban cafe alights on Alton Road, settling into a smaller SoBe space with blue-and-black tiled floors and its signature walk-up window where locals get their morning cafecito fix. The menu includes breakfast staples like fried eggs and bacon, plus classics like Cubano Sandwich and churrasco (grilled beef) that never grow old.
