My husband and I are fans of Mexican food. We stopped in for lunch. The food tasted ok but we both were very sick afterwards even though we had different choices. I have since heard from friends that this happened to them as well. Beware!

El Indio never disappoints. Food is always great, staff friendly and attentive. Prices reasonable. It is not a fancy restaurant, but it's very cozy and comfortable. We haven't been eating indoors since Covid started, but are planning to get take out from them very soon....I had to select a more recent date in the drop down menu.More

A small restaurant in a strip mall. Portions are generous, food could be more highly seasoned. Friendly staff and fast service. There is a vegetarian (but not vegan) menu section available with options like spinach or zucchini instead of meat.

Dinner special - two tacos served with rice and beans. Complimentary Salsa and chips were delicious. Salsa had Exceptionally nice flavor & texture. Nice presentation. Friendly staff. Fair pricing. Small place. Nothing fancy.

I had eaten at the old location on US192 some years ago, where Rolli Porkloin is now located. Loved the fajitas there. Today ate, lunch with my brother to where they relocated in old Melbourne Shopping Center in 1300 block of Babcock. I had from...lunch menu the #8 enchilada, beef taco, beans and rice, $8.95. My brother had the #14 heuvos rancheros with beans and rice and a soft tortilla, $9.95. Meals came with tortilla chips, I think made from scratch, and red salsa. We both had, water to drink. I have eaten in a lot of Tex-Mex restaurants, here and in my previous home in Texas, and a few true Mexican restaurants in Texas, and this was as good as in any I have ever eaten in. Everything was exceptional, as was my brother's. I really liked the rice and beans, never had better. Service was attentive and owners friendly and prices reasonable. Definitely a place to eat Tex-Mex lunch.More

My son discovered this restaurant recently, and invited mom & dad to join them for lunch today. So glad we did! My wife & I split a meal, and it was perfect. Plenty of good tasting food for the both of us. Quaint atmosphere, and...great service. We will return to enjoy this place again!More

We ate at El Indio at its old location fairly often. The food was always excellent but the service went down hill as did the cleanliness. A friend and I had lunch at the new location (probably been open for a year) today and the...service was quick and friendly. It was clean and the food is still excellent. The prices are reasonable for what you get.More

El Indio Mexican Restaurant- Melbourne- 1.5 stars "Man has only a thin layer of soil between himself and starvation."--Bard of Cincinnati. And starve you will. This may be the worst Mexican food in the Sunshine State, if not the whole of the US of A....As I looked at the runny, brown glop, not unlike diarrhea that seemed to pass for refried beans in this place, I felt like driving an ice pick through my eye for not demanding recompense for time wasted with this meal. Literally and I mean this most sincerely, Taco Bell has better ingredients and much better flavor. This meal was obviously thrown together with little thought or caring on the part of the cook. Not a single ounce of pride was put into preparing this meal. The meat is the absolute lowest grade possible. The chicken was rubbery and the beef could not be chewed as it mostly consisted of gristle. The rice was hard and undercooked. It looked like it had been sitting out for hours. The guacamole is the pre-made Sysco green sludge that comes in the two quart container. I took my daughter with me because school was out. She ordered a soft taco with ground beef and she refused to eat it! What kid refuses to eat their favorite food in the entire world?? Getting back to my order; the Supreme Fajitas were covered in a red sauce similar in taste and consistency to canned Italian spaghetti sauce. To top it all off there was zero Mexican spice or flavoring in any of the dishes. This place was so bad the complimentary corn chips they serve you were stale. This was an abysmal failure all the way around. At this point you may be wondering where the half a star came from? Well, I decided to exercise option 10 on the guidelines list and award 1/2 a star for service. Our server was prompt, attentive and kind. She was a real gem and kept this whole thing from devolving into a donnybrook. Big Boy says , " Stay away. Far, far away."More

This restaurant is one of those little places that once you find it your hooked. It is real authentic Mexican food. It was quiet and clean and the food was amazing. We ordered a variety of salads, kids meal, and entrees and every member of the family...was very satsified.More

I think El Indio is one of those hidden spots that once you realize its there you’ll be back for more. I just happen to stumble onto El Indio walking by. It was dinner time and storming like crazy so I decided to try it...out. I was the only one there for about ten minutes. Then a party of 4 followed by anther party of 4. By the time I left the place was pretty full. The food is great. Service is quick and prices are very reasonable. I had the chicken fajitas and couldn’t finish it all. The quest dip rocks and the chips were fresh as can be. Located in the strip mall with Publix, bagel13, bealls and directly behind Suntrust. Give it a try. Just might be your new go to Mexican joint.More

I stopped in for dinner. This resturant is located in a strip mall and for its size does a excellent job. The servers were very efficient but we had a small problem understanding each other. My Pollo Chipotie was excellent. The serving size was large....The house Margarita was very good. Everything was clean except the mens room could have used some attention. If I come back to this area I will definately stop by here.More
