How this restaurant gets recommended is beyond me ! Grotty , slightly dirty and old fashioned and tasteless food ! Absolutely shocked that it was recommended as fine dining . Over the top prices for really bad food . I would not recommend this restaurant

Not to be missed locally owned and managed fine dinig experience. Great local cuisine menu with good natured staff and attentive service. Nice location in Old Marco Village with shops and art galleries for before or after dinner exploring.

We love and have loved this restaurant for decades. The food is consistently spectacular, beautifully presented, and the waitstaff rival any five star restaurant in a big metropolitan area. There is one waiter there who really stands out. His name is Joe..way back when from...More

On Aug 30 my daughter and I made a reservation for 5:30 at the Cafe de Marco. We arrived promptly and gave the "hostess" my name. She attempted to sit us in the foyer. After looking into the dining my daughter exclaimed that there were...More

Family run, fantastic staff and the best food I’ve had on Marco Island. CDM is upscale compared to some other restaurants in the island, but still had a casual vibe. Everything we ordered here was not just good, but great. Wait staff very helpful. Try...More

We visited on a summer evening in August. The restaurant was reasonably crowded, as it was a Thursday Night and it's "Throwback to 1983" (in honor of the restaurant's 35th anniversary) menu pricing was in effect. Our party of four was seated quickly. We ordered...More

We really enjoyed our waiter Nick. Very friendly and knowledgeable. Had the captains platter and jumbo prawns. Both were delicious. Going for the desserts as well. I highly recommend this restaurant Very good pricing too.

Great food and service.... The food was perfectly prepared. The jumbo prawns were outstanding and so was the triple tail. Service was great and Sandy was most gracious to help us since we were running late. we will see you next year!

I'm not sure if they are. I haven't traveled there in the winter. A place as great as it is, I wouldn't be surprised if they are open though.

Description
Tucked away in the northern most point of Old Marco is Cafe de Marco. An intimate bistro/cafe serving the most diverse selection of fresh seafood & other continental specialties since 1983. A favorite amongst locals & seasonal return visitors to Marco Island. Reservations are greatly appreciated. Olde Florida atmosphere in the historic district of Olde Marco. Perfect for an outstanding meal, business, or special occasion. Vast wine selection and beer available. Twilight specials and children's menu available. Owned and operated by same owner & family since starting out in 1983. Our building enjoys a rich piece of Marco history. The Cafe's building was the original quarters for the chamber maids employed by the historic Old Marco Inn just a few yards away. Many years ago the Inn functioned as a "bed & breakfast", and the maids would simply walk to work from our building. This explains the answer to a frequently asked question..."Was this an old house at one time?" Today, step inside to what has been transformed into an islander's tradition for over 30 years. We look forward to serving you soon! ~Sandy Franchino, Owner
