When Charon welcomes you aboard the launch to take you across the River Styx to the restaurant, you look around and quickly realize if this is Hell, I like it! As we leave the dock, we are surrounded by yachts at the Lighthouse Point and...More

This place was disappointing. Food quality is good, but service and ambience are below average. The restaurant has a lot of history, but the actual locale is in pretty poor shape.

The ambiance at Cap's place is it's attraction as well as the great food. People who write about the restaurant needing repair do not have appreciation for the history of this restaurant. I am sorry for those who cannot or are not willing to appreciate...More

Located as it is, most have to take Cap's launch to get to his Place, a novel experience in itself. Upon landing, you walk a short distance to what amounts to a cluster of shacks and go in one around the corner at the back...More

My husband and I were pleased with this unique dining experience! Although it is pretty pricey, it was probably the best seafood we have ever had. We met a very friendly staff person on the boat ride over. When we arrived, we checked out some...More
