We’ve been coming here for 25+ years even when this place was retail seafood market. When it became the restaurant and deli market we found the food was always fresh ..any fresher and it would flopping on your table. We really enjoyed the fresh Cuban...loaf breads baked daily which are now smaller and oiled drizzled but tasty. Both indoor and outdoor patio tables are available . Whole assortment of Frozen pies Key Lime My favorite are available on deli side made locally and reasonably priced. Large Variety of fresh retail seafood also. Never been dissatisfied with food Worth a visit . Won’t be disappointed 😎🌴More

Always wanting to try new places to eat. Their food was excellent! I had Johnny’s Salad with grilled cobia. It was so good we went back the next day and had it again!

This is a simple traditional restaurant with a wet fish and butchery counter attached. The fish is very fresh as one would expect and well prepared. It was full of locals and very good value. There were lots of staff who were very friendly and...the food came quickly. A great place for an unpretentious inexpensive meal.More

This restaurant is one of our staples when we come to Marathon. We always have good meals here at reasonable prices. My son and I both look forward to getting the Johhny's Rambler, usually multiple times during our vacation. My daughter and I get a...chocolate chip ice cream pie to bring home for desserts in the evening. The fish market offerings also look very good.More

Our family of 13 came in to eat after visiting the aquarium across the street. We had great service really good food. We had no room for dessert so we took a key lime pie back to our villa, and it also was very delicious.

Unlike the last review I saw, the service was outstanding, the food lightening quick, and absolutely delicious. The price is reasonable, even for "The Keys". Quaint, not fancy, down to earth people. If you are grouchy, used to being pampered, and generally a PITA to...deal with...by, all means do not come to this gem of a Ma, and Pa restaurant. Side note...The key lime pie claims to be "the best in the state of Florida". The wife, and I are Floridians, have sampled many places that claim to have the best key lime pie, but his place has The Best, by far, hands down.More

Fish Tales Market and Eatery is a “must stop at restaurant” when in Marathon, Florida! I just had the best lunch!!! I ordered my meal, and in the blink of an eye, my food was ready! Even during the busy lunch rush, the service was...extremely fast and right on point! I ordered a cup of New England Clam Chowder which was the best I’ve ever had! I also ordered the Hogfish sandwich and the Hogfish was so fresh, also the best I have ever had! Everything from even the sandwich bun, tomato, lettuce, all so fresh and delicious! Loved the side of coleslaw, collard greens, both sides so delicious! This is all accompanied by a very clean restaurant, very clean restroom and a family owned business. Josh, the owner, was right there to talking to all his customers. Shawn, too! It is rare to find this kind of restaurant now days, family owned and great service! They all treat you so nice there, and wow, what great customer service!!! Fish Tales is definitely at the top of my list!More

We ordered to go… conch fritters came with cocktail sauce, which should have been remoulade sauce, they were soggy and the conch was tough and chewy. As for the lady at the bar that took our order, she wasn’t very enthusiastic about our visit to...say the least. We also ordered the key lime pie because I saw good reviews about it. It was pretty good but of course we didn’t receive any napkins or any cutlery to eat our food or pie with. I definitely would NOT go back.More

We stopped for lunch and it was just okay!!! I had a fish sandwich, very small portion of fish for the price, soup was good, but cold. My husband had one of their German offerings; he said it was tough and bland. No one asked...how we liked lunch and the service was just passive. The prices were too high for what we had......FRANKS GRILL is much much better!!!More

I rely on trip advisor as a bible when I travel. But cannot understand how this place is rated so high. We love to find the old Florida places. The grouper was several small pieces cobbled together for a platter, ordered blackened it had little...to no seasoning absolutely flavorless. The side was unseasoned boiled potatoes with clarified unsalted butter absolutely no flavor. The beer was good and the service fine.More

This was a cute little diner. It definitely would not seat a big group well but for just the two of us and a late lunch early dinner, it was perfect. We both got fish sandwiches. Mine was blackened mahi and it was delicious. I...also had a shrimp cocktail and we shared some ceviche. He had the fried grouper sandwich and it was good as well. This is a great low key spot. Good food and good service.More
