Got to our rental on Islamorada on the late side, so at the advice of our host, headed to the nearby Hungry Tarpon (at Robbie’s) for a comfort food dinner. O.M.G. Fish and chips (”Fish Basket”) consisted of “finger” cuts of Mahi-mahi battered and fried...More

This as a destination place based on a recommendation from a friend. Driving through on Sunday, was lucky enough to find a parking space. Waited a bit for the table, but that wasn't a big deal as there were ample shops and opportunities to walk...More

Wow rudest person we dealt with in the Keys. First asked if they had a vegetarian menu - looked at us like who would want that. Then asked for tartar to not be on a sandwich - told no. I requested no onions on my...More

We asked some locals in Marathon a good place to stop for lunch on our way back up the coast. They told us to go to Robbies and there was a good waterfront restaurant and some shops. We ate first and Hungry Tarpon was delicious!...More

I think we caught this restaurant when they had just been slammed and were obviously understaffed, so we waited for 20 minutes to be acknowledged when we were seated before trying to find a waiter. There was no communication with us, and another 15 minutes...More

Robbie’s Marina.. need I say more?! Stop and feed the tarpon, enjoy the views and grab a bite to eat. It’s a great place for families, very casual and a must while in Islamorada!

Description
In the Florida Keys you'll find this old Keys-style marina and fish shack "somewhere on A1A." A true conch atmosphere with many tasty delights, here in this Florida Keys restaurant you'll find yourself indulged in the Caribbean-inspired cuisine, the compassionate people and old Keys tranquility that is the Hungry Tarpon restaurant in Islamorada. The building has been standing since 1947 and with a home like Robbie's of Islamorada, plus a fascinating history, it all makes the Hungry Tarpon a part of the tradition since 1976. Enjoy dining on our bayside deck with tiki torches lighting up the night. Relax with friends over our fabulous appetizers and watch the boats come and go. Stroll our open air shops then wander to our sandy beach, melt into one of our bayside lounge chairs and let the sea air wash away the rush of the day.
